There aren't many options in Akron. But, I am sure happy Five Star is there. This is a wonderful, clean and friendly restaurant. The food is always on-spot and the service is wonderful. Their menu is expansive and has many Mexican options as well as many other options. My family and I love this restaurant. Long may it run.

My family and I recently visited the 5 Star restaurant, and the experience was nothing short of appalling. Despite being frequent patrons, the staff's behavior was shockingly unprofessional. I have a service dog for PTSD from the military and the waitress and another woman employee berated us about my 2 pound Shih Tzu even though we have credentials and ID for her. My dog is not aggressive, makes no noise, and laid in my lap. They violated Title 3 of the ADA as well as Colorado Revised Statute 24-34-803 claiming that service dog was unsanitary. My service dog was cleaner than they were.

They don’t keep the back clean they don’t care if there’s rodents coming out and spreading there waiste they don’t care for the residents around them or any animals near by there store and the owner didn’t seem to care that there trash system is flawed and don’t care if they kill any loved ones animals by keeping there trash locked after hours !!! If they don’t care about this issue then what else do they not care about I wonder !!!! Also for those who wondering yes my dog was in my own yard !!!

As an otr truck driver, I love to eat at these hometown restaurants whenever I get a chance. And this one didn't let me down at all. Everyone is friendly, great happy service. Affordable food pricing and a very nice place overall. Only a very short walking distance from load pickup. Will come back.
The food was excellent! The waitress was to busy talking with other workers never asked if we wanted refills our never asked if we would like anything else. I raise my 3 older children working as a waitress , Britney's waitressing skills could use improvement. We asked for a peice of pie to go she served it all crumpled up I would have given that peice of pie away or charged half price.My sister and I will definitely go back. I was there back in February enjoyed the food so much I decided to take my sister there.

I came here for my birthday and wasn't offered a birthday dessert.
I had the shrimp Alfredo fettuccine which was really good, a favorite of mine.
however, I couldn't enjoy it to the fullest because I ended up getting a headache and my ears were ringing due to other selfish breeders diners in the restaurant.
These two women let their 3 boys scream and be loud, and not only that the adults were telling them to do it more actually instead the opposite saying "inside voices, other people are dining and trying to enjoy their own conversations."
Another worst part is no one said anything not even the restaurant employees would tell them anything so apparently not every customer is important.

We do enjoy going here, and have been multiple times. However, it's a little expensive (in my opinion) for the quality of food offered. It's not bad food, it's mediocre. The staff are always friendly and helpful though! It's one of the only places I'm town with this kind of atmosphere and it almost always has customers so it's clearly enjoyed by many.
