We were having a wedding for our son nearby and were very fortunate to find Cliffside Tacos to provide a complete take out dinner for 30 people for the rehearsal dinner. The owner and his wife were extremely accommodating of our requests, allowed us to pick up the chafing dishes early and had everything ready to pick up on time. The food was hot and delicious, and they had provided generous portions so everyone had plenty to eat. The sauces and variety of taco fillings were terrific. We received many compliments on the variety of tacos we had selected, and the Sweet Potato and Beef tacos were especially tasty. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be back, and have recommended Cliffside Tacos to several other friends looking for a great meal!

I wonder why this place is so rude. I had a good time with my family camping near by. We all looked forward to having a local jumbo size cinnamon roll. We got to the parking lot near the gas and food at 8:20 and waited 10 minute until it opened. After our purchases we came back to our car and noticed tables The cliff side tacos made my family laugh with the rough signs everywhere against dogs. Taco shop was still closed and walked out from the taco shop and told us to leave. We got our stuff and returned to our car and finished eating our breakfast then noticed Taco shop called a tow truck for our car. Sign did not say it was only for taco shop. You might lose your car because of this shop. This all really soured the whole trip. Do not know local issues. Maybe the shop has issues with people destroying their property. My experience would make me never do business with them.

Parking: Beware they are grumpy and quick callers of tow trucks. Park far away from their building if stopping for gas or food in morning before their open.

I will respond with a neutral review, with warning about parking near the store, as the owner has indicated my husband gave a bold-faced lie. Otherwise, I would not review. We were glad to visit the area this morning. We pulled in assuming that this is parking is like that in front of other strips of stores, where if you are a customer of one establishment, you can park where you like. I understood based on reviews from my research that the liquor store is associated with the food and fuel store, so I assumed the parking in this strip is shared with all. Before returning to our car with our quick breakfast, we saw the tables and decided to let our kids eat there rather than in the car. As it was quite before lunch hours and the taco shop was closed, we sat down. We did apologize when we were asked to leave, as we would not have sat there if we knew that the establishment would mind. I was both sorry and surprised. As we were finishing, we were directed to seating which we had not seen and still could not see. It was much easier to return to our car with the little bit we had left. (I would have hoped that the restaurant worker would have allowed us to finish, maybe exchange some friendly words about our trip, and asked us not to bring other food there again, as our presence there wasn't drawing any additional crowds.) As we were getting into the car and finishing, a tow truck pulled strangely behind us and parked, not in a parking space, looked at us, and walked to the taco shop door, speaking with the worker. At that point I asked my husband to leave, though he would have investigated further. Replying to his review, the taco shop indicated that the truck was not there for us but for coffee, but he was parked behind us, not by the coffee. I cannot say the intent of the tow truck or the taco shop worker for certain. However, I am glad I did not take my family to the tables which we eventually saw outside the opposite entrance of the food store as we we drove out and down the road. I am glad we did not leave our car unattended. I would suggest that others be cautious with parking.Edited to add: The tow truck operator did immediately go to the taco shop door to speak with the restaurant worker as stated. I cannot say how all came about. I only know that I would be nervous about my car based on facts that do not match up with the owner's reply to me that they did not speak and that we are deplorable for dragging down the business and lying in front of our children. My children saw how we acted, which is that we left when asked. I grew up working in a small family business. If I wanted to drag one down, I could have left a nonsense review without details to rebut. If people don't find my review valuable, okay. I hope the best for all involved and believe my review to be factual.

I ordered the tacos and what I received was good. That being said I cannot give a higher score because I believe the portions weren't up to par. I left hungry and think anyone with a good appetite would as well. Either that or your bill price won't justify tacos because you could have ordered a steak/full course meal somewhere else... I also believe I wasn't discounted for taco Tuesday. Either way I enjoyed my meal and don't regret stopping by. I appreciate some of the unique food options and was a fan of their hot sauces.

Awesome tacos! Such a great stop for a bite on peak-to-peak. I can’t recommend them enough!

This was within walking distance of our Airbnb so we gave it a try. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was great! We got a taco plate and a veggie burrito. The burrito was nice and full, not skimpy on fillings at all and great flavors. Also nice that they have a variety of salsas with a range of spice level. Would recommend!

We stopped in by complete accident and probably one of the best places we have eaten on our vacation. We got every type of tacos they make and all were absolutely delicious. The Barria was delicious and even my sons quesadilla was cooked to perfection.

Excellent food!! As others have said it’s a hidden gem. Was in the area for a few days and ate there twice. All the food was excellent. The devil eggs were spectacular. The burritos are giant and absolutely stuffed full. The guacamole is made to order and the different hot sauces are very tasty. Highly recommend!

The vegetarian tacos were extremely tasty. Really liked the pickled jalapeños that came on the side, too! All the ingredients were super fresh. The tortillas were delicious, warm, and soft. The owners were super nice and they provided great service. All-in-all it was a really good meal, and I hope to go back!

I will start like this. I saw this place in an older building that just started to have some tenets. At the time the sign just said tacos. Being in a mountain town, I thought the chance that this place would be okay at best. Luckily I asked the general store next to Cliff Side Tacos. They said it was amazing. So I had to try it out as I drive through this area often. I walked in and found a small area to eat and a gentleman behind the register. This is when I realized what a gem I found. Daniel was behind the counter. I found out that in a couple minutes he was owner and chef. As someone who used to be in that business I can’t stress enough the importance of chef/owner. Usually that means you are getting the best they can offer. Before I get to the food. Daniel was amazing. Kind, down to earth, smart and welcoming. Now the food! This is no joke when I say this. These are perhaps the best tacos I ever had. The tacos I ordered which all had different meats and sauces were mind blowing. The care that Daniel put into these tacos was obvious. Opening the box you see what a beautiful presentation that looks just so appetizing. And that beauty transitions into an amazing flavor as you take that first bite. I was in love. The ingredients were so fresh it was unreal. The sauces were all unique (all homemade) as were the meats. The soft taco was perfect as well. This is now one of my favorite places in all Colorado. I was born and raised here so I can say this with solid knowledge. I cannot stress how surprisingly great this place this is. I might have to drive there after writing this review because I’m dreaming of these delicious treats. Finally, I want to mention how reasonable the prices are. I would even say cheap. To conclude, Daniel, the owner and chef, created phenomenal service and food. If you are driving by don’t miss this place. Even if you are in the city it is well worth the drive!

Cliff Side Tacos was the perfect place to go after a long day the trail. Quick, easy and delicious. Got a nice variety for carry out to eat at the cabin and smothered them in a couple excellent sauces. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Good stuff, I will Absolutely be back. I ordered from the online menu and it was super convenient. The only thing that I would add to the online menu would be the ability to add or remove items from your meal. I do not eat onions or bell peppers and it would’ve been nice to be able to have removed them online instead of at home. So excited to finally be able to give money to a restaurant that I actually want to go to in this town. Good job Cliffside and I hope that you guys are super successful.

Amazing tacos! Took a little hike and this was the perfect place for a quick lunch stop. Really good tacos in such an out of the way place. We will be making a point to stop in whenever we are in the area and looking for a bite to eat.
