A group of 9 of us went to lunch here as a farewell to one of our coworkers who had started a new job. Alcohol selection was good. The woman who runs the place makes her own hard lemonade. The appetizers we got were phenomenal! Fries their own pork rinds, the brussel sprouts were delicious, and the crab stuffed mushroom were fantastic! The pizza is awesome, made fresh for you. We did have to wait for those because we ordered small, medium, and large. But she would bring a couple out, and it seems like she was back again with more! I was so glad the group decided to go here. If you are taking a group, it's best to have a reservation.

Nice little spot for some good food at reasonable prices. Friendly woman running the whole show.

We stayed at Ferncliff for 2 nights while visiting the Rockies. This is the only restaurant right there that is open for dinner reliably and it was such a gem. The pizzas were delicious, they have a full menu if you fancy something else than pizza (burger, pasta, salads, apps, desserts, etc), and they have many drinks too (we got local brews from Estes). We ended up talking to the owner for 10 minutes at the end, she told us her story and what she has been doing with the place, great conversation. Highly recommend if you'e in that area!

It’s a cute place with nice staff. The food, however, is not so great. We had the bacon wrapped jalapeños and the jalapeños were raw. We ordered a $6 side salad and it was so small- like four bites. It was really expensive for what we got and the quality of the food.

We had a terrible experience. We got a different pizza and it had pork in it. I told host nicely that this is a wrong pizza and it has meat in it. I told her that we don't eat pork so it's a dietary restriction. I expect that it should be taken seriously. I get that mistakes happen. But I expect at least an apology. She was like "let me check with the back" as if she didn't believe us that our pizza was wrong. And she came back and says "yes it was wrong we are making you a new one". No apology, no sympathy, no sadness. She should at least say that they are sorry about it. On top of that she told my son "young man, you need to use your inside voice". You don't get to parent my own son. If you had received complaints from other people, just politely tell us and we will leave. You can't tell that to my son. If there were a bunch of drunk men laughing and making more sound, you would not tell this to them.

Finally, they charged service fee. After this terrible experience, of course I am not going to give 20% tip. I asked why it was added, we are not 6 people. She (another lady) said it's not how many people we are it's how much we ate. Like come on, we were 3 adults and only ordered 2 medium pizzas. Wanted to try 2 different flavors.

Actual final, the kids Mac and cheese was terrible. It was like it was frozen and quickly thawed because it was a block of pasta all squished together.

Dietary restrictions: They don't care about your dietary restrictions. They serve you pork when you can't eat pork. On top of that, they don't feel sorry for doing that. They just give you another pizza.

Kid-friendliness: They are not kid friendly. Read my review.

They claim to have started this business for the local community but the owner is clearly doing this for herself. The food we ordered was charred when it came out and the staff was extremely rude. if you are looking for a nice stop on your trip this is not the place for it.

Very poorly owned restaurant. The owner treated my family like we were nothing more than money to her. even going so far as to ushering us out of the door once we had paid for our meal.

The owner uses her employees to offset bad reviews when needed to maintain the score they have. The food is very skimpy and customer service is horrible. Do not eat here if you have any sense of self respect.

Great getaway from the main route. Hamburgers and pizza were great and French fries most excellent. Nestled in the aspen and pine trees, good food and relaxing. Service was the best and the owner can give you the history of this 100 year old tavern.
