I've Lived in Alma for 19 years . I have seen businesses come and go. Bristlecone bakery however will be a long term institution. The craft which the staff adhere t I is amazing. Maggie , Julia and Lauren are amazing and so committed. They are now a part of my Dailey routine. Not only are the baked goods amazing , but just as good is the local courtesy I get get everytime I walk in the door. No bakery in the high country can hold a candle. Thanks again Maggie

This is one of the best bakeries I've ever been to. Better than almost every bakery I've been to in France, Australia, and Italy. What an amazing little gem in, of all places, Alma.

Always delicious! Focaccia, ham and cheese croissants, danishes, and cardamom knots are especially great.

Small sourdough bakeshop in Alma, Colorado -- if you are heading that way and it's open, I HIGHLY recommend stopping by. We drove out of our way on our way back to Denver to check it out. Staff are all very friendly and a great selection of items!

My family and I happened to see this bakery on our way out of Alma into Breckenridge and decided to stop by on a Thursday morning. We were greeted by the smell of fresh baked goods and inviting smiles. The girls running the bakery were so sweet and friendly and the pastries were amazing! The shop itself has a cozy, vintage feel and looks like it is straight out of a movie!
I also tried a vanilla matcha latte which had great flavor and was very smooth. (The shop does offer coffee as well.)
We will definitely return to this bakery next time we are in Alma!

I'm a regular but today was special. A while back (a year+?) before Bristlecone was a shop I ordered a Chocolate Babka. I don't even like chocolate but I have been thinking about and talking about that babka ever since. Now it's Christmas and it was offered in the Christmas bake. I ordered it but I did wonder if after all that time perhaps I had embellished the memory to make it more than it actually had been. Today I found out that I had NOT. It was every bit as delish as I remembered. Thank you, Maggie for making it again! I would post a picture but I've already eaten most of it by myself. : )
