My friends and I visited this establishment on a curious night. The bartender was awesome she took care of us the best way she can. Especially for us who rarely go out. She made us the best surprise drinks. Thanks girl! We really appreciated it!

This bar is not women friendly , they would allow men to take advantage of women. and will kick the woman out just for having fun . They respond to negative comments like they’re in the wrong but their regulars are more drunk and outrages than new people. They’ve kicked out people who aren’t drunk just because they talk to their regulars negatively even if their regulars are in the wrong . Me and my friend were not loud , we played darts on Sunday , and we paid our tabs .

Got denied service after ordering one beer for myself, and one beer and a shot for my friend. Bartender didn’t even recognize who I was, asked for my ID, just to deny me service after paying $25 for a $17 dollar tab and not even getting asked if I wanted change. From a person with over a decade experience in the service industry, this staff is incompetent and not worth the time. Go literally anywhere else. Explains why they aren’t busy at all. Judging by the owners responses to reviews they don’t care about literally anything, and for a dive, you’re going to get a much better experience literally anywhere.
Killer dive bar! Service was exceptional, friendly, and fun.

The bartender was outright incompetent. The bar had maybe three people in it, yet she still managed to ignore me and my girlfriend while loitering at the far end of the bar socializing. My beer sat empty for over 20 minutes. After one drink and zero service, I had no interest in giving this place any more money. Any halfway functional dive bar does better than this.
When I paid, she kept my change without asking, turned around, and walked off to continue flirting. No tip was earned, but she took one anyway. After being ignored again, it was obvious that getting my change back was not worth the effort or the filth involved.
Her attention was clearly reserved for desperate drunks who will flirt with anything that vaguely resembles a woman. Instead of doing her job, she chased attention despite rough, masculine features that did not justify the ego. This kind of behavior drives away customers and costs the owner money. If this is the standard here, it explains the experience entirely.
Editing to respond to the owner.
The bar was nearly empty, yet the bartender ignored a paying customer to socialize and kept my change without asking. The comment about her appearance reflected why her attention was elsewhere, ego fed by inebriated approval, not service.
Instead of addressing these facts, your reply resorted to insults. Somehow, the very response meant to defend the business ended up illustrating its flaws more clearly than any criticism could.
Congratulations!

The atmosphere is good for the most part but the attitude of the bartender working around 8pm on Tuesday 12/23 wearing a tank top was absolutely terrible. She was rude and inconsiderate, and had an attitude that did not make us feel welcome. Choose any other bar in olde town!! Not worth the cheaply made drinks.
Edit per your response: It was NOT very busy there was an entire half of the bar opened up. Get more bartenders if she’s going to be grumpy with the holiday crowd! Not a good look. Also on a holiday week you should be PREPARED. Everyone is stressed from the holidays so why should someone that is paid to be there be in such a bad mood to customers?

Is this place tilted, or is it the drinks?!
🤷♂️
Eitherway, I think it might be making me a better dart player! 😉🎯 Accepting all challenges!
If you’re looking for a shiny, polished craft-cocktail palace with reclaimed barn wood décor and bartenders who swirl rosemary smoke over artisanal ice cubes—turn around. Go back to your kombucha spa.
12 Volt Tavern is a dive bar, and it is proud of it—like a dad showing off a dented truck that “still runs just fine.”
Walking in feels like entering a time portal where modern responsibilities evaporate. Your first step inside delivers a crisp whiff of spilled beer, jukebox wisdom, and a hint of “was that neon sign plugged in during the Reagan administration?” Yes. It was. And it’s still glowing. Dimly. But glowing.
The lighting is perfect if you like to have just enough visibility to recognize your friends but not enough to confirm whether you should have worn a clean shirt.
The bartenders?
Professionals.
Not the kind who garnish drinks with citrus foam—no.
They garnish drinks with sarcasm, bad life advice, and the exact amount of liquor your emotional state requires.
