Our guests LOVED the mac and cheese bar and the tri-tip steak, and their attention to detail for our guests with special dietary needs was above and beyond. The dessert bar was also a huge hit and we loved the cutting cake - I ate red velvet cake for breakfast the day after the wedding! They were also fantastic rentals-wise - we had all the tables, table settings, umbrellas, everything we could possibly need, and they were beautiful. To start, they were incredibly easy to work with—responsive, accommodating, and willing to offer input on other aspects of our day, which we really appreciated. We received so many compliments from our guests for weeks afterward. However, there were a few areas where expectations didn’t align with the experience. For example, we were assured that their bartenders could handle the crowd during cocktail hour without creating long lines. Unfortunately, there were noticeable lines, which, while understandable for an event of our size, felt like an overpromise. The passed hors d’oeuvres were another area of concern. Guests reported they were hard to find and few in quantity. When rain forced guests to move to covered areas halfway through cocktail hour, many mentioned that the snacks disappeared altogether, despite us ordering more than enough for everyone. We understand this can be a challenging situation, but a better pivot strategy would have gone a long way. The biggest disappointment was the cake service. Cutting and serving the cake was extremely slow, and only small batches of slices were brought out at a time to the self-service table. With 200 eager guests, many didn’t get any cake, and we ended up with a significant amount leftover—a frustrating outcome given how much we planned for this. Despite these hiccups, we were thrilled with the quality of the reception meal and how seamlessly the team worked with us during the planning process. We’d recommend Footers to couples looking for delicious food and a collaborative experience but suggest setting clear expectations for cocktail hour and dessert service to ensure everything runs smoothly.

We hired Footers to cater our daughters wedding in November 2024. I worked with Cara to coordinate everything and I found her to be responsive, helpful, straight forward and very knowledgeable for all our needs. She helped us plan every aspect of the wedding food and drinks and even gave good suggestions beyond catering. We had over 150 guests to serve and had a cocktail hour with passed appetizers followed by a plated dinner of steak, chicken or branzino. From the appetizers to the dinner and deserts, the food was on par with the quality you get at the finest restaurants and was served timely, hot and with a beautiful presentation. The servers did a great job and the entire meal was on time and everyone was served at nearly the same time so that the party could start directly after the meal. Cara was present from set up to desert and made sure all our needs were covered so that we could enjoy the day. We also hosted a brunch at our Airbnb in Denver the next day for a lot of the guests as Denver is away for most of us, and Footers catered the brunch as well. They came with a truck and a couple servers and did a great job making sure the buffet was always hot and filled with food, and again the food was delicious. Footers is not the least expensive nor are they the most expensive caterer I interviewed, but for the experience they provided, they were worth every penny. If you are shopping for a caterer for a special occasion, look no further...call the wizards at Footers and you will not be disappointed.

The weather showed it was supposed to snow during our event and they were able to add tents and heaters at the last minute.
