My husband and I love Home Cooking Cafe on 64th & Quaker in Arvada, CO.We have eaten there many times (Breakfast & Lunch). We liked the previous owners; Gary & Barbara and the new owner(John Yunhee) is just as nice. The food is excellent and if there are any issues with the food, they will gladly replace the food item. The staff is friendly and prompt in taking one's order and delivering your meal in a timely manner (sometimes there may be a wait because the restaurant gets crowded, especially on Sundays.Carolina, the gal that brings you your drinks, is always friendly and happy to serve you. The other wait staff: Joli, Simone, Anna, Lee and Alexa are great too. As for the back end of the house (Alvero, Ben, and Esvin (the cooks) do wonders in the kitchen. We highly recommend "Home Cookin Cafe in Arvada. The Egglestons

I just love small intimate places to eat but this one is one of my favorites. Not only is the food delicious but the service is what stands out. Everyone is so friendly and they make sure you are comfortable and enjoying the food. My only small grievance is they are only open until 2pm. SO get there early and ENJOY!Parking: It's a popular place and sometimes a little bit of a wait but there's plenty of parking in the lot.

I've been here once and will definitely be back. The food tasted great, portions were very generous for the price, and service was both fast and friendly.

Very nice. Huge portions and very yummy. Would recommend the vanilla cappuccino if you like coffee.

Very good food and friendly staff. Reasonable prices. This is a smaller restaurant which allows the staff to offer great service. On the weekends I'd arrive early, this place fills up fast

Little non chain shop with mega plates of comfort food here to satisfy the heartiest of appetites. Take down the elephant ear sized breaded pork cutlet and you will know a full belly.

Food was great but the service was not so great. Our waitress was too focused on flirting/talking with a guy friend. She took our order and we never saw her again other than her dropping the check off and walking away. We weren’t even asked if there was anything else we needed. Food was brought out by another while she was in the corner with her guy friend. As we waited to pay she was in the corner texting and another waitress cashed us out. Very disappointed for first timers here. Would come back for a Togo our ask for another waitress if possible. Otherwise not so much.

This is a destination place. Walked in, and the clientele was right out of the cantina scene from star wars. Really cool. The staff was helpful and right out of the TV show South Park. The hostess wore a winter parka the whole time , and another gal wore a poof ball hat like Stan Marsh. Loved the commitment to the character. One one of the Cooks was like "Chef". Very Ethnic and swarthy, And the ladies loved him. The rest of the cast well represented the characters of South Park. If you go, then It'll be fun for you to guess which one was Cartman or Kenny, and so on. I'm surely coming back soon. I cant wait to enjoy a mostly safe breakfast. Hardly any gunfire. P.S. Han shot first and Greedo had it coming.

Have you ever been to a breakfast place that had such huge portions you couldn't finish it? That it was soooo good you finished it anyway? Well, this used to be that place. It also used to be a 5 star across the board place as well. We used to frequent it. Especially in the summertime on the weekends. If you got here at 8 am you were already waiting. It used to be well worth an hour wait. The previous owner would even walk around and chat with you. Giving it that extra "home" feeling. The waitresses are still the same wonderful people. Today's breakfast was the Stacker as usual. The hashbrowns were crispy but very undercooked in the middle. Almost raw. They were still a little cold. We never used to run out of chicken fried steak on this dish. Well now you do. A tortilla might be thicker than the little pieces of chicken fried steak you get on this. Even the toast is not the same. It was chewy. How do you mess up toast? Not only that you get 1 full piece now instead of 2?!?!?!? Portions are down. Food quality is down. Its rushed out to you. There is no more "Home" feeling or taste to it. I didn't even finish my food this time. It was that bad. When ownership changes it can be good or it can be bad. This is definitely bad. The previous owners would probably be sad to see this place going downhill. I feel the waitresses are keeping this place alive. For us, it's time to find a new place when we want breakfast.

I have to assume management/owners do not know how incredibly rude some of their employees treat their customers. Arriving 40 minutes before closing is apparently a huge problem as servers “have been there since 5:30 and want to get home” but when you ask if they are closed or should you leave you are told the kitchen closes 15 minutes before the stated closing time of 2:00 so you need to get your order to them NOW! Foolishly, our party did that and were then subject to constant “shoo techniques” i.e. “are you done yet”, “can you pay now” (without a receipt on a handheld device with highest tip percentage selected) and then for the finale: hurried, noisy, vacuuming of the entire restaurant with an emphasis on the tables next to us… I am not exaggerating. Four different families were represented in our party and 3 had been there before. It was unanimously decided that there will be no return trips for any of us which is unfortunate b/c we love to support local and had thought the food was decent.
