We had a very disappointing experience at Homegrown Tap & Dough (Olde Town Arvada).
The food was far below expectations — the pizza was one of the worst I’ve ever had, and most of our dishes were left untouched. No one asked if everything was okay or whether we enjoyed the meal, which felt inattentive and indifferent.

When we ordered cocktails to go, the staff refused to provide straws, explaining that Colorado law prohibits consuming alcohol outside the restaurant. We fully understand and respect the law — but such information should be communicated before taking the order, not after bringing the drinks and then refusing to give straws while lecturing about the rules. The issue wasn’t the regulation itself, but the unnecessarily condescending way it was handled.

Another unpleasant surprise was that dogs are not allowed even on the patio — guests with pets are seated beyond the pedestrian walkway, completely outside of the restaurant area. That policy might be technically permissible, but it feels unnecessarily strict and unfriendly in a state where most restaurants welcome dogs on patios.

We spent over $200 for two people and ate almost nothing. That’s quite expensive for food we couldn’t enjoy and service that felt completely indifferent.

Overall, the combination of poor food and unpleasant service made this visit disappointing. We won’t be returning and cannot recommend this place.

The food was fantastic and cooked perfectly. I was with a party of 4 and we all commented on the service. The staff was friendly and professional, but not very attentive to our table. It seems to each of us, that we've the same thing on different occasions.

I was in town for work and was very impressed with the food. Had the pepperoni rolls, which were amazing, along with the fusilli pasta, which was also VERY good. Service was tentative and friendly as well. I would recommend and go again myself.

Wife and I just moved to the area and wanted to try out some local restaurants. Staff and location is great, the food is solidly okay. For pizza and pastas I think there are better local spots, however if you are looking for a beer, its a fun place to visit.

Brought the soccer team to have pizza. Very kid friendly. Great service. Food was delicious. The kids loved the arcade games.

Very horrible first impression when walking in. The girls have terrible attitudes. Was told by 1 person I couldn’t sit on the patio with my dog because there was no server and has no idea when that server was, way to make someone feel welcome! Then the second rude waitress told me no dogs are allowed even though I’ve sat outside with my dog before. Never coming back to this place, first impressions are everything and you guys need attitude checks!

We had Katja serve our 12 person table, and she did a PHENOMENAL job. She remembered everything, was friendly and efficient, and helped us split a complicated bill. The food and atmosphere was also lovely!

Absolutely loved our experience at Homegrown! Our server, Alli, was fantastic—so kind, attentive, and provided excellent service. The food was incredible; the Palisade Peach Pizza was phenomenal, and the Buffalo Wings were delicious.

They truly excel with their drink options, too. The mocktails were great, and I especially enjoyed the Aprés Walnut Elixir. It was so good it made me appreciate the monks who make exclusive spirits (like Green Chartreuse) a little more!

A huge bonus: my wife, who is gluten-free, loved her meal and felt they handled her needs perfectly. Highly, highly recommend Homegrown for great food, drinks, and service!

We got the Palisade peach pizza, roasted beet salad, and chicken parm. Everything was incredible. The pizza might be one of the best in Denver!

We've had the opportunity to eat at Homegrown Tap & Dough a few times since they've opened. I've been there with both my family with small kids and my friends. They never disappoint! We've had such an amazing experience there each time. The atmosphere is unbeatable, the food is amazing and they have a great selection of drinks! My kids love going to get food here, we were able to sit and dine in the gondola one of the times we had dinner and it made their night! They have free video games to keep the kids entertained while they're waiting for their food. Make sure to check out their beautiful fire place inside and their outdoor patio! You won't be disappointed!

The pizza is great. Eating outside in Old Town Arvada is the best.

Stopped here randomly while on vacation and was probably my favorite meal we had! We did the lunch special, the Caesar salad was perfect and the both of the pizzas I tried were great. Would go back!

If I could give 6 stars, I would—but Google said no, and I don’t want to start another fight with tech support.

The service here was so good, I thought I accidentally wandered onto the set of a hidden camera show. Friendly, fast, and somehow read my mind better than my horoscope.

Highly recommend—unless you’re trying to keep this place a secret, in which case... ignore this review. Nothing to see here. Move along. 😉
