Odyssey Beerwerks Brewery & Taproom

Found this taproom on Google Maps, and clicked the events tab. They had an ice cream truck today. My son has wanted to go to his first ice cream truck for a while now. When we arrived and purchased a child sized chocolate ice cream for him and I bought a beer, there was a large group of people by the entrance (because it was the twelfth anniversary party) and they were standing in front of a sign. Once we sat down to enjoy our Friday treats, the people moved, and I could see the sign about 21+ applying even to the picnic table we sat at next to the ice cream truck. I finished my beer as quickly as was reasonable, while my son ate his ice cream quietly. Once I had finished and he had a large cup of melted chocolate ice cream, we were aggressively told to leave. Even if we were welcome, I'll never come back.

Thanks for responding. Your framing is a classic non apology. After my experience, I visited your website and saw the many ways you make it clear that children are not welcome at your establishment. Your reply glosses over the fact that your events page isn't one of those.

Again: I will never return with or without my son, and you can continue to pat yourself on the back for being pro-adult, but it wouldn't hurt to have a laugh and be able to say sorry one time.

I love Odyssey Beerwerks! From the great beer to the even more incredible people, it has everything you could want in a local brewery. I've been a proud Mug Club member since I moved here several years ago, and it truly feels like home.

The atmosphere is always fun, welcoming, and full of friendly faces (and adorable dogs!). The beer lineup is consistently fantastic, and I love that Odyssey also gives back to the community--just another reason to love them even more.

One thing that really sets Odyssey apart? It's a kid-free brewery. As someone who values a peaceful pint, I appreciate having a spot where adults can unwind, connect, and enjoy themselves without the background noise of a daycare. Parents deserve a break, and hey, some of us don't have kids at all!

If you're looking for amazing beer, great vibes, and an awesome community, Odyssey is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Tried a whole flight and brought a case home. Incredible vibe, excellent and huge variety of beers and community events.

Great spot!!! Food truck schedule, great beers, great events! Will be back again soon. I would love to explore more of the fun here!

Best brewery in Arvada. All dogs, no kids. Oh and the beer is stellar too

A bit off the beaten path but well worth finding, very friendly and very good beer. Hit Talnua distillery next door for a “proper pour” and then relax here with a proper pint. Or three. Leave the kids with the grandparents, this is a place for grown ups only, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Totally forgot to leave a review when we visited a month ago, oops! Every single beer we’ve had here is great, and love the atmosphere. The absolute PLUS is there are no kids, we lovvvve it 🩵 Also- dog friendly, (6!) beers in a flight, and all the staff are so helpful and personable!

Edit: rating is based on personal opinion of the beer i had and overall atmosphere, and is intended as a reminder for the future. I don't expect every brewery to be perfect for me, and also I did not mistake this for a wine bar or home brew supply store (???) Cheers!

Love this place. Great beers! Great service! Good atmosphere! Truly dog friendly - your dog will get love from everyone here. Shame on the people giving negative reviews for it being 21+. There are literally a hundred breweries in the area where you can take your babies.

Oh man…it saddens me to have to mention this to future patrons, but just know that this place is STRICTLY 21+. That means no babies, which also means no dads looking for a tasty beverage because you’re always hanging with your lovely child. While I’ve loved Odyssey’s beer, knowing I’m not welcome when being a dad is a big turn off. Denver has way too much good beer for me to make an exception when Odyssey won’t. Maybe see you again in the distant future, but for now I’ll go to any other brewery in Denver not named Odyssey ✌🏻

This brewery isn't just a place to drink some beer, it's a place to drink great beer. I was once a regular, but I stopped visiting when I retired. I recently visited again after a 4-year hiatus and I'm still impressed with how great their beer is.

Great atmosphere and great beer!

I heard this place has delicious beers so I was definitely pumped to try it out. I met up with a friend and we brought our babies and we were unfortunately turned away because of the no children policy. I wouldn’t have thought to check something like this online as this is the first brewery in CO I have encountered with these restrictions. So unfortunately I have to give a 1 star review for our encounter. And before I get a snarky review back from the owners, to each their own. I know there are definitely people who prefer a kid free area. It is just a bummer for a beer enthusiast like me when literally every other location in CO allows families a spot for an outing to enjoy beer with their family.
