Always busy, and prices are fairly high, but it's such a cute little hidden gem of old towne with exceptional pastries and treats.

Don't pass up this family-owned bakery just because it's not on a main street. This Old Town Arvada bakery has been baking authentic European goodies for over 60 years so you know it's great and worth finding. Bought several items here and all were fresh, delicious, and beautifully decorated. Enjoyed their strudels, cupcakes, cookies, and more. You can watch them make their delectable delights right behind the counter too. Staff are patient as you try to decide on what and how many to pick. No more store bought pastries for me when in the Arvada area.

Cherry strudel!
This place has been around a long time and is currently owned by Johnson & Wales alumni! (I am also JWU alum so, this when I found this out, I was extra excited. To my delight, everything from here has been so mouth watering, and we've tried a lot of the pastries and cakes they make. Even had a custom cake made for my birthday in 2024 (photo included) that was so so good! The wont steer you wrong here.

They usually have a good selection of dietary friendly deserts. Like no sugar, no dairy, no gluten, without the cost of flavor!

This bakery is on a completely different level. Their pastries feel like elevated versions of childhood favorites, especially the Twix-inspired bars that somehow manage to be both nostalgic and insanely refined. The seven-layer maple buttercream cakes were rich without being overwhelming, dipped in chocolate with a perfect balance of sweetness and depth. And the streusel—easily some of the best I’ve ever had—was buttery, crisp, and packed with flavor, adding the perfect texture to every bite. Every item felt thoughtfully crafted, indulgent, and unapologetically decadent. This is the kind of place that ruins ordinary bakeries for you—in the best way.
Everytime we visit we are not disappointed.
Their fresh baked cinnamon rolls are to die for!

I highly recommend visiting Rheinlander Bakery. Their strudels and streusels are very tasty. We plan to take my boyfriend's mom (who is from Germany) here!
First time in and I was pleasantly surprised. I came in for GF desserts. I was greeted and was immediately given the rundown of the GF section. She told me about the processes and safety. I bought the Carrot Cake and Chocolate raspberry cake. They were delicious and did not get a reaction. I will be back!

Generally this place excels at the baked goods, but after our most recent purchase, my wife and are hesitant to return for what you pay for. Our Apple pie was pretty underwhelming and under-baked - I can hear Paul Hollywood in my ear whispering it to me. The crumb was also in massive chunks and the apples weren’t cooked through either. Disappointed.
