I love the lunch buffet. Excellent variety so you can taste a variety of food. And the food is delicious! Bonus that they have a brewery on site to wash it down.

I have been a frequenter of Yak and Yeti for many years now. I have been to multiple locations of theirs (my favorite was when they were in Westminster where the Tamale Kitchen is now). I think that if you have never been to Yak and Yeti and are looking for a good Indian/Nepalese buffet, look no further. This IS the place. The buffet as a lot of good selections and they have a great drinks menu. That being said, I now feel like I need to review this place as someone who has seen it ebb and flow over the years. I think that this location is obviously the nicest interior and exterior as the other locations are pretty much just buildings with some stuff on the walls and really good food. Though, I don't think that really changes the quality of food I just thought it should be known that if you are curious about the difference of locations, that is going to be a big one. I think this particular location has the widest beer selection as well but that could be false now. It used to be that way years ago though.I will say that every time I have been to Yak and Yeti I get the buffet. I have never even looked at a menu. You should know that if you have never been that they will expect you to get the buffet because everyone does. I have seen the wait staff get kind of confused when someone does ask for a menu but they will obviously abide and not be rude about it. The buffet is king though and why people go.So, I have mentioned that the food is great and it is. Four stars alone for the food. But other things are being taken into consideration with this review and I will be the one that will say it if no one else will....Yak and Yeti is resting on its laurels. The food is great but never really changes. If it does change it is that the preparation of the already known dishes changes slightly. The flavors are always on point but the flavors are the same level of depth as they have always been. Yak and Yeti has become so stable that if you go you better find something to become your usual because that is what you will always get. Maybe they are hiding some stuff on the menu that excels from what I am stating but I don't think so.The locations all have this slightly deteriorated look that shows that they could operate at the same level as they do now and never be worried about it, and from what I know of their fan base. That is true.Their servers just exist to grab drink orders but they also don't have a normal wait staff set up. It is like a group of people are your wait staff and you can pretty much just grab anyone to get you anything. If you haven't been before this can probably be confusing but they EXPECT that you have been before or are with someone that has been because that is how this place runs. The food is great but if you don't "get" what makes Yak and Yeti good the first time you go they won't wow you the second time so you probably don't need to go back. I can tell you though that I will go back and enjoy Yak and Yeti for years to come because their food is now a source of comfort. Maybe that will be you and maybe that won't be.

Very friendly and large portions. Surprisingly decent Indian restaurant in Colorado!

I was here years ago and didn't review. My husband and I just went back today for the lunch buffet and we are STUFFED! OMG! It was delicious and I wanted to eat so much more but just didn't have room in my belly. We will most definitely return.

The food that I got a chance to eat was good.Look, I get that it sucks to have people there late. We had an 8:30 reservation, had an accident at the National Park and were 15 minutes late. So just *don't seat us*. When we got there everyone was friendly, they were able to put our mono order through and get drinks out and it was a big relaxing breath of air to unwind after some sudden stress. They brought the bill nearly immediately. No problem. I tipped over 30% right there as a "sorry, thanks for accommodating us".After that, boxes brought midway, still had three beers of a flight of four left and the kitchen and waitstaff was literally lined up through the entryway glaring. I left the beers, packaged up the food as hastily as I could and left.I honestly wish I had lit the 120 bucks on fire and gotten fast food because I feel so much worse leaving than I did going. Again, if it's "everyone out by 9:30 or get a parade route of angry staff", then please don't seat people. Just say "sorry, we have everyone out by 930 and there's no time".We were really excited to try this place, and the food and beer we got time to try was good, but do not go unless you have two hours or more until close.

Very delicious Asian food, but the staff didn't seem to speak great English and because of this, it made their manner seem a little rude. If you don't mind whether or not the staff is friendly and engaging, then this is an excellent choice for south Asian food. One other thing I want to mention is that while enjoying our meal, two different staff members came out with their meals on their breaks and sat in booths next to ours and they proceeded to watch some videos on their phones with the volume turned up so loudly that it was interrupting our conversation at our table. I had to finally turn around and ask them to turn it down, but they apparently didn't speak English and therefore didn't understand. This is the main reason for my rating of this restaurant. They severely need better management over the employees.

We were looking for a good buffet and boy did we find one! From the moment we walked in we were treated with so much kindness, we were seated right away (we came around 2pm on a Friday) it was luckily not busy yet. We got waters immediately and were asked if we were ordering from the menu or doing the buffet (buffet Friday-Sunday all day btw) of course we chose the buffet. My friend and I are both vegetarian and we were so happy that vegetarian options were available in the buffet. Mostly classic dishes were available but that's exactly what we wanted. Samosas were AMAZING I ate 4 and they even had the dipping sauce I think was called chutney? Delicious. My friend has the paneer saag and I had the Chana masala the spice was there but not at all over powering and the flavor was great! We both had the rice pudding for dessert and we left very full and very happy. Will DEFINITELY be back!

Authentic and delicious! If you're looking for a very cool atmosphere, come here! The location in downtown Arvada is inside a historic old house with really unique architecture and designs. They provide seating in the bar, in private dining areas, on the patio, and upstairs with book nooks attached to your booth. They have a wide variety of menu items but they also have a buffet for lunch and for dinner. The buffet is $25. Tonight I ordered from the menu because I wanted leftovers. I started with a beer called Little Umbrella which is a passion fruit mango wheat light beer. Fruity, slightly hoppy, and delicious! In the past I've also tried the Jalapeño Lena which is a Pilsner with jalapeño and is spicy! For dinner I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and jalapeño garlic cheese naan. The fresh garlic on the naan was so fragrant and delicious! The chicken was extremely tender and I could easily cut it with just my fork. It came with plenty of sauce which I like since I can pour it over the rice that automatically comes with the meal. You get the option of spice level (mild, medium, hot). I got medium and it was a true medium. Just enough spice but not too spicy. The service here was fantastic and my waiter was friendly and attentive (Bihan). I have sat in every area in this restaurant and they are all equally as good. The restaurant appeared clean and it was quiet enough to enjoy a conversation. The portions are enough for 2 people to share, so I had leftovers to take home. Great place! Delicious food and drink!

We had a lovely dinner at Yak and Yeti. We made a reservation for 2 online and had our own little private room upstairs. The decoration and ambiance was wonderful and really added to the experience. We were well taken care of - servers were prompt and checked in on us the perfect amount. Since it was our first time here, we opted for the buffet so we could try out a variety of what they offer. I piled my plate high with a little of everything and it was all very tasty! They had great options for just about everyone. Big fan of the lamb, masala, naan, samosas, and the coconut soup!My second and final serving from the buffet was for dessert. They had a variety of fruits and a couple dips - I loved the mango custard. The highlight was the carrot pudding SO good. But also the donuts were perfect, not too sweet somehow. The jalapeño beer was refreshing, light and not spicy. The chai milk stout was so so good - but filling after a huge meal! They also have a great selection of cocktails and some wines if beer is not your thing! We arrived about an hour and a half before close, they do start clean up 30 minutes before close - but they are sure to let you know when the buffet will be taken down so you can go scoop up some last minute treats. I left so so so full and very happy. I'll be back!

It's both a dine in and a buffet experience depending on what you select. We did the dine in experience that way our food arrives hot instead of sitting out for a while. The tiki masala was probably my favorite of the dishes that we had ordered. It's not spicy but has enough flavor. The chicken was tender and easy to chew on. It's tastes delicious on top of rice or if you decide to dip it with the garlic naan. The saag paneer was also a solid selection. It does not have meat in it so great for non-meat eaters. The vindaloo was okay. The lamb was still very chewy so I would skip personally skip it or order with a different protein selection.Otherwise, service was friendly. There's an upstairs so lots of seats. The buffet area is located downstairs so if you happen to sit upstairs, you will have to do a little bit of up and down walking.

Good food, good beer, cool location…what more can you ask for? I had the lunch buffet and a beer flight because I wanted to try everything, and I was not disappointed. Will be going back here every time I’m in Arvada.

Go there, order, eat, and be amazed. Fantastic food and beer. Y&Y is an institution. Sit in a private room if you can.

Oh my gosh I love Yak and Yeti. I actually haven't ever eaten inside so I can't speak to the service, but I LOVE getting takeout from here. The chai is great, and the couple different types of naan I've tried are so tasty. There are seriously so many vegetarian/vegan options that I struggle to choose (not a problem I'm used to having), but so far I've tried that vegetable korma and a paneer dish (I forget which). Also LOVE the vegetable samosas. Everything is always delicious, and also reheats well. I usually get takeout one night then have enough for lunch the next day.
