I visited on a Tuesday for their $3.50 toco deal. I ordered two carne asada and two Tijuana birria (quesabirra) tocos. Although I liked the tocos they fell short of my expectations. Both were pretty bland for what was supposed to be a gourmet toco. If you order the carne asada toco be sure you like onions. If I go back it won't be for the tocos rather their delicious spicy michelada.

Visiting from SoCal and saw this place featured on the news so we decided to give them a taste. The tacos are fantastic, I gushed over the birria and carne asada especially. Toppings and sauces are well balanced and flavorful.
Even more special was our service from Ben who went above and beyond. Stop reading and eat here!

My recent visit to this Teocalli location, while met with friendly service from our server Austin, unfortunately did not meet the expectations I’ve come to associate with the brand, particularly compared to the consistently excellent experience I’ve had at the Lafayette location.

We began our meal with the shishito peppers and guacamole. The peppers were overly oily and lacked the crispness typically expected. The guacamole, while flavorful, had an unusual texture, more similar to whipped cream or yogurt, making it feel less fresh and substantial than anticipated.

For our entrees, I ordered two carne asada tacos, two carnitas, and two Tijuana birria tacos. Unfortunately, none of the items were served hot, and they didn’t appear freshly prepared. The flavors were also noticeably muted. My date had the adobo tuna in crema de elote, but the dish was overwhelmed by the sauce, which masked the flavor of the tuna rather than complementing it.

Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially given the $100 total for what was a modest meal. While we appreciated the polite service, the quality and execution of the food fell short, and we likely will not return to this particular location.

5 Stars All Around - but the most important callout is for Kevin!

Things you should ask for immediately upon walking in: Kevin as your server - he is exceptional at conversation, recommendations, extremely personable, and truly phenomenal at understanding what is needed.

Things you should ask for upon sitting at your table:
Ask Kevin for his recs, elote creama on everything = the best decision you could make.

Seriously though, we are pretty close to regulars at this point and Kevin elevated our experience every step of the way. Thanks for such a great time and many recommendations.

Fully gluten-free restaurant. Most impressed I’ve been with a place in so long. Affordable, flavorful, veggie options, good vibes.

Travelling to Denver for work. Came over here to try a new gluten free place. I was floored by the outstanding food and drink here. Everything is scratch made. The margarita was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy (I ordered the spicy pineapple marg).

10/10 would recommend if you are looking for amazing Mexican food that just happens to be gluten free!

I LOVE this place! The food is consistently delicious and the atmosphere is always fun. Everything on the menu is gluten free- including the bar! The rest of my family loves this place too and they aren’t gluten free. Last night Penelope was so accommodating! She was so sweet and helpful when my party size increased and when the weather changed she found us a table inside.

Had Kevin as my server and, without being dramatic, that was the best customer service I've ever had. Seriously, as a customer service worker myself, I don't know how he does it. We even stayed late and he still had infinite patience and great conversational skills with my grandparents.

The food was incredible too, I recommend the Adobo Tuna. Overall, I'm very glad I finally gave this place a try, and I'll be back!

Great Mexican/taco place in the heart of old town Arvada. My friends took myself and my wife out to this place because they loved the tacos. First off if you’re looking for a traditional Mexican place this really isn’t it. That’s not a bad thing and what they have has a lot of flavor and great takes on their versions of tacos, plates etc.

We had the following: traditional guacamole, BIRRIA DE RES, chicken quesadilla, and big eye tuna taco.

The guacamole had a really good flavor. Although i like more of a chunky guacamole then creamy, but still it had great taste.

My chicken quesadilla was seasoned well and enjoyed and it was decent size. Next was the bigeye tuna taco. It’s definitely different but was good. It’s more of a mini wrap than a taco.

Last was my wife’s birria de res, and boy was it good. The meat was perfectly cooked and the bone marrow was also just right. I am surprised my wife even let me try it.

So next is service and it was fast and pleasant. I am always impressed when things come out at a decent pace even when the place is busy.

So is the food worth the price and I would say yes. If you in the area give it a shot, just don’t go in like you’re going to a transitional Mexican place is my advice.
