The gyro sandwich is awesome! Moist and fresh. Had with fries that had Greek seasonings. Other guests at my table had plates with meats and roasted vegetables and potatoes that they raved about, too. Don’t drive by. Stop in. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve been meaning to post for a while but after about a year and half it’s totally consistent for a 5/5! The Athenian Restaurant is hands-down one of my favorite places to eat. The food is fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious! The service is always super kind, prompt, genuinely welcoming much more than awesome. Seriously must-visit!

The smells hit you right away.
I did the gyro plate and my husband did the Combo plate. And we did the saganaki appetizer. A cheese lit on fire was not only fun but delicious.
The meal came with a salad. The simple olive oil dressing was delicious. I loved the potatoes. The gyro was delicious. Everything was definitely made scratch.
Service was amazing.
We will definitely hop back in!!

I went to a meeting here. We barely stepped inside the restaurant for the meeting room. The service was friendly and food good. She didn't come back to ask questions of. We didn't know where the water was. People didn't get any!

This is the best local restaurant for great Greek food and fantastic service in Aurora. Every time we come here we are greeted with outstanding service and delicious food to temp the senses. This time I had the Gyro Platter, which came with succulent potatoes, tzatziki, a greenbean side that was very tasty, and a lemon chicken soup that warmed me up. My husband tried Moussaka for the first time and loved it. Unlike many places around here, the salads here are always fresh and delicious. The staff here are always pleasant, friendly and welcoming. They even offered us a complimentary shot to finish the meal. I always like to have the baklava from here to take home for dessert. The atmosphere is consistently warm and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to all who are looking for a great Greek dishes and outstanding service. I plan to continue to bring friends and family here for a great meal any time of the week.
