What can I say, we ended a 12 hour drive coming here and wanted to try the local Greek place and this came up in our search. I simply can't find a better word to describe this experience, other than WoW! Best Ive had in any city I've been in. Its been a mission of mine to find the best falafel and my search is over... Hands down, great place to get some amazing food and get treated to an amazing staff.

This place was excellent. The food was very good. Gyro was tender and the tzatziki sauce was delicious. We had the falafel for an appetizer and it was the best I ever had. I totally recommend this place if you want some very tasty Greek food and very friendly staff.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. My wife and I celebrated our 37th anniversary tonight and wanted to do something special and try a restaurant we had never been to before. We decided on Athenian and are so glad we did! We had the Trio Dip to start and Mediterranean Pasta for 2 as our entree. Everything was perfect and absolutely delicious. Our server, Cheyenna, gave us excellent recommendations and was attentive without being intrusive. The portions are quite large; pasta for 2 is optimistic at best. After the delicious Trio Dip that we couldn’t stop eating we barely made a dent in our pasta and took most of it home. I highly recommend trying the Mediterranean Pasta. The Penne was cooked to perfection, the chicken is juicy and tender, sausage is meaty and a little sweet, the seasoning is perfectly balanced with flavors that compliment each other. We shared a serving of baklava for dessert that was the best we’ve ever had! We can’t wait to come back.

Lovely family run restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and authentic food. The chef’s platter gives you a perfect taste tour of Greek cuisine - everything made from scratch and served with pride. Don’t leave without trying their baklava (homemade by grandma) along with their Greek version of Turkish coffee… Sublime. We came as guests and felt like family by the time we left.

After a rainy commute from Alamosa I was craving Greek Salad. Luckily this place was just down the road from my hotel. I was greeted warmly and seated at the bar for takeout. The salad was large and full of all the wonderful things that make a Greek Salad. The Spanakopita was fresh and filled just right. The service was warm and friendly and fast! I will definitely return and recommend!

I feel bad that I haven’t given a review yet, but my wife just brought me home a Gyro after some garage beers. This is the only Greek place my wife and I go to. I grew up near a predominantly Greek community and this is the only place in Colorado that I can get a little taste of home. The staff is always incredible nice and the food is always fantastic. The thing that really reminds me of home is who I’m assuming is one of the owners. She walks around to speak to everyone at the restaurant to make sure they’re enjoying their time there. We don’t go as much as I’d like, but everyone should definitely be eating here if they want Greek food.

Just got back from Greece and was driving in Aurora when I saw the Athenian. Had to stop and try them out. Ive tried a few Greek places in Denver area and just haven't been super impressed. I spent many years in Greece so im usually let down when eating Greek food in Denver. The moussaka at the Athenian was was on point. Service was great. Niko told me where in Greece they were from. Even though it was a quick lunch the experience was a good one. I would definitely recommend the Athenian!
