I had high hopes for Bajeko Sekuwa in Colorado, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The food lacked the authentic flavors I was expecting, and overall, the taste was far from enjoyable. The spices felt unbalanced, and the dishes seemed either overcooked or just poorly prepared. It honestly felt like the essence of traditional Nepali cuisine was completely lost.

Given the reputation of Bajeko Sekuwa elsewhere, I believe they can do much better. There’s definitely potential, but it needs serious improvement in quality, taste, and attention to detail.

I had high expectations from this restaurant. Nothing we tried was flavorful, and overall the dishes lacked the taste we were hoping for. Momo was okay. Tried jhol momo— jhol was more like achar than a proper jhol.

Food was fantastic, especially for the price. The dal bhat was amazing and the service felt like I was back in Nepal. The curry in the dal baht was incredible. Highly recommend this place!

This review is to any foreigner who want to taste authentic Nepalese food without going to Nepal. This is the closest and in my options the best you can find in states and would probably be up there even in Nepal in terms of taste and authenticity. Very unapologetic in term of taste. The Tauko Fry, my god, even my dad would be impressed. Momo was great too. Khaja set and Pork sekuwa not do much. I am a Nepali origin and have been living in states for 2 decades. Nothing comes close to this!

Our group of ~10 visited for dinner this week, one of our group members is Nepalese so he had plenty of recommendations as this is one of his favorite places to frequent. We ordered numerous dishes family-style and stayed on the Nepalese side of the menu. Everyone ate more than their fill and every dish we sent back was picked clean.

The Bedel Sekuwa (wild boar) was surprisingly good, I’m going to have to find a recipe and make this at home. I thought it would be more pork shoulder/Boston butt, but it wound up being more of a pork belly cut of meat. I’ve had wild boar several times but this was an unexpected surprise; fantastic. Everyone loved the Goat Momo (steamed version, I think) but the Chicken Momo was a very close second and I would recommend if you’re wanting to stay with a more ‘traditional’ meat. I preferred the steamed dumplings to the seared versions without exception, which I did not think would be the case. The Bhatmas Sandheko (crispy fried soybeans with fresh spices and seasonings) was amazing. We used to have roasted soybeans growing up on a farm in central Kansas, adding all of those flavors on top is a winning combination. The fried puffed rice served with the Sekuwa dishes was not my favorite, for my perfect meal I order the two entrees above and wap it with the Bhatmas Sandheko mentioned above.

A few others had the butter chicken or tikki marsala which they of course said was phenomenal, next time I’m in Denver I’m going to have to try that as well as the Haas Ko Choila (duck), which was high on my list as well as one of the fish dishes.

I am sorry to say but the food which Bajako Sekuwa is famous for in Nepal and what we expect from you here in your restaurant is very different. Portion of chicken sekuwa was less also too much mustard oil is used in it, chatpate on side was also loaded with mustard oil.
