This is a typical local bar- good food, easy going servers, strong drinks.

Great quick service! Good was perfect and hot. Tons of drink options. Very happy with the service.

Stopped in for lunch, was treated with a delicious Burger!

Great burger perfect medium rare and egg was runny! Onion rings and fries were good. The bourbon sauce is amazing. We were a party of 12 so food came out slow but we were all good.

Good bourbon flight selection. Not enough seating

The wife and I have been here numerous times. Great burgers and a solid bourbon selection. I ordered an Elijah Toasted old fashioned. It's my go to bourbon for an Old Fashioned. However we got the bill and my 1 drink was $29??? For Elijah Craig Toasted? No price on menu, but I know it's a $55 bottle at most. $14.50 per ounce? Charging over $320 for that bottle is highway robbery. Shannahan's doesn't charge that much. Ive been in the restaurant business most of my life. Liquor margins shouldn't be 6x cost. We'll be back for burgers, but I'm not ordering bourbon anymore. Iced tea it is.

I was not impressed with the service the first time and we tried it again last weekend and I was not impressed the second time. When you have to ask to order food because you seem to have been forgotten about that is not good. Then you order a appetizer and it comes out with your meal, again not good. Then you have to call a server over to ask for your check because you have been forgotten about yet again, not good.

I have been in a couple of times but mostly I do pick up and the staff is always super attentive when you have pickups and making sure you're getting your right order and that you have everything you need. When you come in you are acknowledged and it doesn't have that feeling like other restaurants have that I'm walking in and growing my food and I could just be anybody. Also such great onion rings 🍻

Drink was STRONG, Burger was good, but the highlight of the whole things was the Blue Cheese Aoli, it is litterally slammable!

We joined friends for a double date at Bookmakers, a spot they’ve loyally visited every Friday night for years—and now we know why! The staff is the perfect blend of hardworking and personable, making every moment feel special. The whiskey wall? Absolutely stunning—a sight to behold and a must-try with a whiskey flight (or two, because why not?). And the burgers? Pure perfection. They’re the kind of mouthwatering, unforgettable bites that will haunt my foodie dreams. Needless to say, we’ll be back to Bookmakers, and soon!

We loved the burgers and the fact you can order them to the temperature you like vs. limited (i.e. pink/no pink) at some other places. Great flavor and good service. Not a lot of options for kids but they enjoyed what they had. Drinks were good too. Not a huge restaurant but we also liked the atmosphere and were glad we found this strip mall gem. Will be back!

Our Go to for amaxing pub food. Large portions & always delicious no matter what we order!

Definitely a decent place for a burger and a whisky. I give it a solid B. FYI though, I am a bit of a snob on both, So it did not earn an A for me.
They have a large selection of run of the mill whisky. I would have preferred to see a lot more top shelf selections. For instance they had the Four Roses but not the higher end. The Scotch selection was too small and middle to bottom shelf. I had the Balvenie 12 yr, which was their best in my opinion.
The burger was pretty good for this area, Not a lot of good choices around here, just my opinion of course, So this one is as good as any.
Service was very good, the place is a little small but done very nice.
If this place was in my neighborhood, I would probably eat here once a week. Although I would likely give them some suggestions on their whisky selections. 😁
Definitely giving them kudos for using the Glen Cairns though!! Kind of risky for a bar, they're delicate, however it's the best way to enjoy a whisky neat.

*** Update to their update. If you really want my suggestion, I would add a few of the rare finds, Make them a little more expensive, I would have paid more for a unicorn pour. 😉
For the record, You don't find many whisky bars in Aurora, so you guys are doing just fine! See you next time I'm in your area. 👍🏼
