Stanley Marketplace is a great place to eat and shop. My dinner at La Comida was ok. The margarita was too bitter. The skirt steak burrito filling was delicious but it came warm instead of hot and the tortilla wasn't even warm or soft. My friend said her tamales were good but not great. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the ambiance. It was a little noisy but not so bad that we couldn't talk.
First time here. The owner is very nice. The server / bartender was extremely nice and attentive. The food came out fast and fresh. Everything was wonderful! Will definitely come back!!

Hidden gem! There are not many restaurants like this in the area! I’m so glad I found it! I’ve been a few times and never had a bad experience! The food is remarkable and the MARGARITAS are oh so yummy!

We come to Stanley Market frequently and always grab a drink at Comida, they are quite delicious. The downside is the bar tenders are always rude, it makes the experience less enjoyable.

Comida is one of our top choices for lunch. The food is *so* delicious (I love the steak!) and the staff is always so friendly. Definitely a must-try spot for fresh takes on classic dishes!

3.8? Either Comida has really cleaned up its act, or its customers are a tough crowd.
My favorite thing about Comida is that you can fairly easily tailor the size and healthiness of your meal anywhere from "Light vegetarian lunch" to "Cardiologist on speed dial - keep bringing me steak and cheese until I fall over".
Regarding value, you are at the Stanley Market: everything is a little more expensive because of that. That said, they do 2 for 1 Tacos on Taco Tuesday, and you can get 4 tacos for under $12. It's a solid lunch. Prices are generally similar or slightly cheaper than the comparable tier restaurants at the Stanley, so they're not doing anything crazy.
I've eaten there half a dozen times now and the food has always been really good. The taco/burrito/tostada/gordita filling options are the star of the show. (Stella's Pork Carnitas, Chimayo Chicken, Sombra Shroom, Three Cheese Blend, Etc.) The apps are little mediocre, and the guac needs more onion, salt, and lemon. That's really my only complaint though. The salsas are solid.
Staff have always been friendly and attentive when I have visited. I usually sit at the bar.
The atmosphere is decent - it's a casual, airy space. You can still see the overhead cranes where it used to be an aerospace manufacturing facility. The pink accents are playful. The speakers usually play a non-distracting mix of alt-county/alt-rock/alt-folk that I normally only hear on my own Pandora stations, so I enjoy that part.
Drink prices are comparable or slightly cheaper than other similar venues at the Stanley. (Cheaper Mexican and Salvadorean food and drinks are both available down on Montview and Colfax if you're really bothered by the price point: there is no shortage of Latin restaurants in this neighborhood.) Most drinks here are variants on Margaritas, Palomas, and other Mexican staples and lean sweet and sour. Not everything is super-sweet but ask your server for suggestions. I enjoyed the Baby Maker. The Agua de Jamaica margarita was decent as well. The jamaica / hibiscus tea helps cut the sweet in some of the drinks.
When I'm looking for an OK priced, decently healthy lunch at the Stanley, I tend to gravitate back to Comida. I've had positive experiences there. It sounds like there may have been some staffing / organizational issues in the past, but things have seemed pretty good for the past few months. Go get a shroom or steak quesadilla for lunch. Good stuff. :)
Vegetarian options: Comida takes a "we have a bunch of different fillings - do you want it as a taco, a quesadilla, a gordita, a fajita, a salad, or what?" kind of approach that includes some really good seasoned mushrooms and seasoned vegetable options. A lot of these come with crema, so look before you leap if you're vegan or dairy-free.

Love this place, the food and cocktails are always delicious. The yuca fries with jalapeño aioli that I tried today was particularly delicious.

Simple and delicious food. Sometimes less means a lot more.
Chicken was juicy, tasty and plenty.
The spicy house sauce is a masterpiece.
The bowl of rice, chicken ,beans with fried egg, went very well with a glass of cold beer.
Thanks to Evelyn and her recommendations.
Highly recommended.

Food is mediocre at best, and yuck at worst. The pimento cheese stuffed jalapenos were very spicy but had no flavor. The pimento cheese was overpowered by the spicy jalapenos. There is no love in the house made nacho chips, and the Not Yo Nachos is the worst thing on the menu. Got them with shrimp that they didn't season and did not taste fresh. They don't season their food, which is surprising to me. I will never eat here again.
Tasty fresh food! I’ve dined here at least a dozen times and am never disappointed. My favorite is the beet and carrot tostada and jalapeño grits. Highly recommend trying the grits, they have a perfect creamy/spicy balance. The staff is always super friendly and the atmosphere is fun.

We had tacos, the salsa trio, and the tres leches cake. All were absolutely amazing! The only thing better was the pineapple habanero margaritas. Ask for Adrian. He is so kind and gives great recommendations!
