We get there at 8 restaurant closes at 9 servers already rushing us at 830 to get ready to leave. They sitting there just staring at us to leave.

This place used to be my go to for breakfast burritos. This morning the sausage burrito I got was incredibly bland, the potatoes were undercooked, and the cheese had a weird gritty texture. Something has changed and for the worse.

THEY DO NOT RESPECT MILITARY!!!!
I called them after the order was wrong, several times. It was our fault not their fault. I asked for smothered cheese on the burrito and received very little cheese on the burrito. I asked for 2 tacos and the came individually in a crushed aluminum foil. Of course they were damaged. I called them and there response is "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT?".

The food was good, the waitress was nice. Oh, and did I mention that their green chilie is made without pork. You do not understand how hard this is to find.

This is, in my opinion, the best Mexican food in Denver. I will admit, I am a gringo who bases this review off my favorite dish at any Mexican restaurant - Combo plate with a relleno, burrito and enchilada; but Los Alcatraces is above and beyond anywhere else I have tried.
The green chile has a great lingering heat and flavor to it. The rellenos are perfectly cooked and the cheese and onion enchilada with red sauce is divine.
I have had many versions of my combo plate across Denver, this is the absolute best.
