I would have taken a picture of the food but it’s already in the trash. For starters I’d like to address the rating of this place. I fully believe they either pay for 5 stars or have family and friends do it for them. Heavy MSG taste, came LUKE WARM??? 100% worst meal I’ve had since I was in the army. (TLDR BEWARE FOOD IS DISGUSTING)

Small place with very friendly staff. Wonton lo mein with duck was rich, filling and super flavorful.

It's pretty awesome we have a location in Aurora that serves Hong Kong BBQ. It can be a hit or miss depending on the day and how busy they are. The only inconsistency I have experienced is the size of how big the pieces of the duck are cut in. Sometimes they're huge and other times they're pretty slim and great. The flavor is usually pretty great. If you go early and want to try something different, we always ask if they have pipa roast duck. The difference may be subtle if you're new but we like it better and they're one of the few locations that sells it. Otherwise, the other items on the menu are delicious like the char siu or the roast pork belly or the pig intestines. The owners and staff are pretty friendly. They speak Cantonese and understand my elementary level.

Not the prettiest of places but the food is delicious. We go for the roast duck which is hanging first thing you walk in. Go early for the duck but their other dishes are good as well.

Delicious. We wanted to go back the very next day for more, but they’re closed on Mondays! So speedy, so flavorful. The chicken feet were a bit too salty, and the roasted pork and bbq pork were not warm (nor were the chicken feet), and yet it was all DELICIOUS. We absolutely will return. Got the beef chow fun which was superb. Gotta try it if you’re in town. The crispy fried skin of the roast pork is excellent. So good.

I got ripped off. They charged me $40 bucks for these two items. I used to go there often, but lately, they have been ripping people off. My friend went there last week and experienced the same thing.

Char Sui and duck are good here. The lunch menu also is pretty good.

I had high hopes for the siu mei (Cantonese BBQ) at this place. The first time I went, there was a line out the door. I came back during off peak hours to try their roast pork, duck, and goose over rice. There was no line, but the meat did not taste warm or fresh. The chicken had a few feathers, and the pork was dry. I really hope this was an off day. Otherwise, I will be looking for another place to get my char siu.

Given its proximity to HMart, you’d think the quality of the food at New Canton would be much greater.I was super excited to try some roast duck rice, the bbq pork, and some ribs, but my girlfriend and I lost our appetites after the first bite. The duck did not taste fresh, and neither did the other dishes we got.To be fair, the main food warming station looks like a health code violation waiting to happen. I’m an adventurous eater, and would certainly try some intestines one day, but the long tube they had prepared was just basking in a luke warm dish of water. The other warming plates had that layer of coagulation that occurs when things have been sitting out awhile. Each rice plate was $15-$16 a person and just did not come close to delivering the quality of food you can get anywhere else close by.Disappointing experience.

This is a small chinese style BBQ located next to the H-Mart in the Aurora Koreatown area. I've seen it a number of times but only recently stopped in to try the food. As others have noted, the shop is tiny and can't seat more than 6 people, and was even crowded with 2 eating and 2 of us waiting. No large groups here.Service was prompt and there were english speaking people working the counter (maybe the owners kids?).Since I was on my own I just tried a basic BBQ pork with rice meal. It took a few minutes for them to prepare and I was really pleased when I opened it up at home. The pork portion was generous, moist, and flavorful. The rice and broccoli were nothing special, but you're not going for that. Will have to try out the duck and other meats at some point but will happily return for another meal.
