Definitely a place to go for family and friends or even a meeting, The food is wonderful the stuff is polite and friendly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The place looked clean when walking in, Service was quick and friendly albeit somewhat curt. The food itself was way overpriced for the portion size and severely lacked flavor. My husband and I ordered the Jajangmyeon and Mapo Tofu as entrees, and the mandu as appetizer. The highlight of the meal was the mandu and that was because we had soy sauce and vinegar to dip it into. We were looking forward to having a new spot for Korean cravings since it’s so close to home, unfortunately we will not be returning.

My husband and my favorites are stir fried black noodle(쟁반 짜장), sweet and sour pork, and shrimp gganpunggi. We were so excited to find real authentic Korean-Chinese restaurant in Denver! Thanks to Paik Jong Won! Only suggestion we would like to make is that you should NOT put tortilla chips in gganpunggi. We get plenty of chips when we go to Mexican restaurant. When we go to Korean-Chinese restaurant, we want to enjoy true authentic Korean-Chinese dishes.

The staff is friendly, they listened when I presented my allergies. The soy/garlic wings and dumplings are absolutely the best. Perfect flavor and crunch. Dumplings w/ soy and vinegar was wonderful. The rice tea wow.
The staff makes asking questions and there friendly atmosphere is wonderful.
Already planning to visit again.

Update July 2024
With increase cost in recent year, there are going to some impact of every restaurant. Specially the high cost of the Jajang sauce, so it was not surprise the Jaengban Jajang wasn't as heavy in sauce as before. The taste still good and Taiwanese cabbage replaced onion. It is still my favorite and still enough to feed two. Might want to tone down a bit on spiceness.
Added the photo of how the current dish looked.
Update Aug 2023:
The Jaengban Jajang really is their best dish in my opinion after tasted some other dishes here and around the town, the sea food dry Jajang from the two chopsticks was the only close to beat it but haven't been match since material cost went up. The raw sauce cost had raised so much that most place have added other thing while dilute the black bean paste which is the essence of the noodle. My whole family agree this assessment. We drive across town just for it.
By the way the sweet and sour pork can be ordered with sauce seprated and control how much you want use. This way the pork is very crispy till you eat it. It actually taste better with Jajang sauce!!! Try it.

This new venue is new on the northeast corner of Peoria and Iliff.
Paid is a celebrated cook in Korea with lot of restaurants and many TV show. It's refreshing to see one of his venues show up in Colorado.
Wasn't sure what to expect, however the taste was very good. Jaengban Jajang is highly recommended if you like black jjajang
The favor is well balanced, added spicy favor adds a bit more depth to it, the use of baby corn, pea, and Orion instead of sugars plus the just right noodles. If the cook had hold off the time the squid been cooked, it would be better.
The overcooked squid made the squid way to tough, dry, and hard to eat.
Need to come back again try other items like jjamppong(spi y sea food noodle), Tangsuyuk( sweet and sour pork, they give you sour aside so the pork remain crispy, and you control the amount want to dip in)
Clean and simple, not the fancy setup, but again it's the food that counts.
Parking: Northside parking could be under water when rain
Kid-friendliness: Not fancy but rather family style simple setup, lots family dinning there
Wheelchair accessibility: Door is a bit challenged otherwise easy

The food was really good it was my first time trying korean-Chinese but the customer service is what really made the experience so good. The woman who served us was very nice and informative she answered any questions we had and explained things that she could tell we weren’t familiar with. Would definitely recommend trying this place.
