My granddaughter and I go in the young lady greets us, hands us menus, and tells us to sit wherever we'd like. I'm ok with that so we sit down, and she comes and askes what we'd like to drink she gets the drinks then takes our food order. The food comes the brisket I ordered is a crumbly mess and barely warm along with the greens that were also not hot, we had to have waited a good 25 to 30 minutes for the food to come out cold.

Being from the South I had a craving for some southern soul food. At first I was excited to dig into my $20 plate of Fried chicken wings, collard greens, & cornbread only to be highly disappointed. The beef brisket meal cost $15 which came with Mac n cheese & cornbread. They charge per item “build a plate” which wasn’t worth what I paid. Only thing that tasted decent was the fried chicken wings, but nothing to brag about! Everything else was super DRY & tasted like heated up days old leftovers! The banana pudding was a joke! It was literally banana flavored pudding with dry Nilla wafers just added to it. No whipped cream, no sliced bananas, & definitely NO SHAME for serving this dessert for $5.50. I should’ve turned around when I realized I was the only customer in the restaurant during lunch hour! I won’t be back.

Let me tell you! Black owned business. The food was wonderful. Sweet potatoes on point on reams on point the hot water cornbread wasn't that good but everything else delicious service atmosphere great. I will be coming again and you should go too delicious

Waited over and hour for food that was not fresh. Mac and cheese is fixed days ago and warmed up in red tube ware containers. Meat is cooked three days prior to selling and reheated on a flat irons grill nothing in this restaurant is fresh. Food is not good and definitely not worth the money. Definitely don’t not recommend eating here .

The greens were not up to standard, not enough flavour. Barbecue was ok, a bit overpriced. Dirty rice wasn’t cooked enough and was too dry. Will give them another go though. Owner is friendly and that helps.
I ordered from the food truck the two meats and a side I got the catfish and ribs with french fries everything was really good. I will most definitely be eating again from there.

I ordered, brisket, mac n cheese, sweet potatoes, greens, and dirty rice. Brisket was tender, 4/, mac and greens and sweet potatoes alll 5/5. Dirty rice is 5/5 b UT only bc I love love love spicy! They were out of banana pudding so I will try that next time

I got ribs, wings, and hot water corn bread. The wings were PERFECT . They were BIG OL’ WINGS with lots of FLAVOR. The ribs were authentic, although I prefer the SAUCE On THE RIBS instead of having to DIP the ribs into sauce. When the SAUCE is on a rib it’s more APPEALING to take a BITE instead of doing the “finger licking good” method which I don’t mind but I know what I would call a PERFECT RIB. Overall I would definitely recommend to a family or a dude who wants a beer and some bbq.
