After 4+ years....the back room still has no ambiance. Unpainted (or finished) walls with zero decoratinos. The drinks took 20 minutes to show up, the food not for an hour. Granted a busy night, and the manager took care of us after all said and done (kudos to her!), my wife's enchilladas bland and cold. My dish flavorfull, but please remember the side plates, the tortillas that come with it, and stop by once in a while to refresh drinks.

Food was outstanding, but service was slow as our waiter - who was terrific - was the only waiter working that evening. Food was slow coming from the kitchen as well. I wasn't impressed with the margaritas, so when I go back I'll have a different drink. Diverse menu was wonderful!

Sazon (Mexican with a splash of Latin cuisine) has been open for 4 yrs but a new discovery for me. What a find!! Its location in a struggling shopping area and its quirky interior are a bit unusual but keep going. It's so worth it. There was a pretty decent crowd for a Fri night tho not packed. The food was outstanding and the margaritas to die for! Three of us tried 3 diff margs and they were all tasty. Very fresh and no mixers. I appreciate that they were normal size not fish bowls. We ordered the Molcajete queso to start. It was little thin but the flavor outstanding with spices and tomatoes and add-ins if you want them. It came out sizzling in a swimming pool size molcajete bowl with street taco size tortilla chips. I needed to save room for dinner but I couldn't stop eating it! Next was carnitas with pickled onions and all the side fixins. Yum! I'm not a plantain fan so subbed cotija rice instead. Usually rice is rice but this was so creamy and rich. It wasn't just rice. Others in my party had the divorciados and chihuahua enchiladas. Both huge and so full of flavor. Plenty for leftovers. The desserts were not the usual sopapillas and churros (tho avail) but rice pudding and “grandmas cake”. We wanted to partake but had no room. I feel like most of the Mexican restaurants in the area are pretty basic and mostly the same. We are so excited to have found Sazon. It's original and fresh and such a nice change. Can't wait to go back and look forward to warmer weather sitting on the patio with margs and a swimming pool of molcajete!

A little on the higher end as far as price for what it is, drinks especially, and bar is always out of something which is disappointing. Would be great if there were full booths and larger bathrooms, but the service is good and food is tasty.

Jesus was the nicest server ever and very attentive. Tuesday's is Taco Tuesday so live music and great deals on tacos, not to mention HH till 5:30 p.m. Fun and delicious!

Showed up 15 minutes BEFORE our reservation only to be told they were closed. Very frustrating to have left the mall to go enjoy a nice dinner I had taken the time to make a reservation for and even indicated it was a birthday celebration only to get there and be told they were closed and have to drive back to the mall to eat there.
