As many other reviews have noted, the service here is pretty bad. At best they're inattentive, at worst they're rude.

Moving on, the food is good but also pricey for what you get. You can likely find a better deal at same quality at other establishments.

I'd come back if a friend was insistent but I wouldn't suggest it myself.

The food warmed my heart, it was the closest to my best friends moms food I've had in years. Very authentic! Yes, the staff doesn't speak the best English but they are incredibly sweet. They made me feel at home. My new go to spot for everything Korean. I had their kimchi stew which was incredible. Their bibimbop was okay but their banchan was fantastic! They brought us out more too when we complimented them. Incredible experience.

Terrible Experience – Dirty, Overpriced, and Awful Service

I had one of the worst dining experiences at Shin Myung Gwan. The place was filthy—tables were sticky, the floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days, and even the grill area was grimy. For the prices they charge, you’d expect at least a clean environment.

The food was bad at best but insanely overpriced for what you get. Definitely not worth the cost.

Worst of all, the service was a disaster. The waitresses were inattentive, and acted like they didn’t want to be there. We had to flag someone down multiple times just to get water, and they got our order wrong more than once.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this place was such a disappointment. Would not recommend it to anyone. There are far better Korean BBQ spots out there.

Authentic Korean food. If you want what is eaten in Korea, this is your place. The other Korean bbq restaurants nearby are not authentic and more catered to American, non Korean pallets. Decor not up to date or contemporary but if you want real Korean food, this is the spot. Been going here for years and recipes have not changed.

Honestly worth the price for the Korean barbecue. You get better and thicker cuts of beef and pork belly. It wasn't busy at all, which was weird for a Saturday, but that means we got excellent service.

This is a Korean restaurant and BBQ, the place has cute inside decorations, the waitress lady who helped us is so sweet and friendly too.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Place

We work hard and were looking forward to a nice meal, but our experience here was beyond disappointing. We ordered specific items, but the server brought out more expensive dishes instead—then played dumb when we pointed it out. When we tried to address the issue, instead of making it right, she actually threatened to call the cops on us!

We've never experienced anything like this, even after moving to Denver and dining at many restaurants. It was shady, unprofessional, and unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Decided to try this place and bring my friends who’ve never been but it was horrible service, no one greeted us for 10min, and I had to walk around to find someone to help us get seated …너 진심이야? I get better service at McDonald’s …they had to find a table and basically walked me around till they found a table, then when they sat us down the 고약한 노파 made fun of us to a table of lady’s next to us… we left immediately
Mind you this place is Expensive. We expected better service regarding the price

I had a hankering for Korean BBQ and this place was open late. opted for the beef bulgogi and it was quite tasty. The big disappointment was in the side dishes!
