I can always count on Smashburger at Southlands Mall to be a problem. This location is consistently disorganized and understaffed. On my most recent visit, I went in to pick up a pre-paid online order, only to find just two overwhelmed employees running the entire store.
They told me it would take about an hour to prepare my food due to the massive backlog of orders—a whole stack of bags just sitting there, waiting to be made. There was absolutely no sense of urgency, communication, or proper staffing, and definitely no light at the end of the tunnel.
I ended up canceling my order out of frustration, but I was still charged. So I left with no food and less money—not exactly the customer experience you expect.
Smashburger corporate needs to take a serious look at how this location is being managed. Until then, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
