My wife and I came here early one weekend morning after a recommendation from some friends. It was a very inviting little space with a friendly staff, good coffee & coffee cake. We'll definitely be back to get some of their fresh baked break.

Stopped in for some good sour dough, did not disappoint. Can't way to try it all. Exceptional!

The reviews are right, a not to miss spot if you’re in the neighborhood. We got a loaf of sourdough, garlic whipped butter, a chocolate chip cookie, two lattes and a breakfast burrito and everything was amazing.
The chocolate chip cookie was caught my eye when browsing reviews and deciding where to eat, and it did not disappoint! It isn’t too sweet, has excellent texture, and very clearly made from high quality ingredients. The coffee is excellent, the lattes were with nice quality beans and well made.
The breakfast burrito was the surprising hit, delish, and came with salsa that had nice heat to it.
It goes without saying the sourdough is supreme, an excellent crust with nice chewy texture on the inside. With the homemade whipped garlic butter, I am trying to not eat a whole loaf of sourdough by myself.
Overall I can’t wait to go back:) excellent quality all around

The Baking Room is spectacular! It has some of the best sourdough bread I have ever had anywhere. And the brownies and chocolate chip cookies are simply wonderful, made with the highest quality ingredients and not too sweet. We do not live near the bakery but the drive is worth it. And Eric is most helpful and clearly cares about making the best product possible. It is a pleasure to visit and most of all, to delight in all the goods from the Baking Room.

We’ve known the owner, Eric, for years and have been the lucky recipients of his baking generosity! He has found the key baking bread at this elevation and consistently turns out what we truly believe is the best bread in town. My family always gets excited when they see me walk in with a loaf of “Eric bread!” So glad to see his new shop up and running, and you won’t be disappointed when you stop by.

We recently stopped by The Baking Room to check out their sourdough bread and we were not disappointed! Firm on the outside and soft inside, the perfect combination. The flavor is just what you want in a sourdough, that delicious tang. We especially loved it sliced and toasted.

I’m heavily biased, as this is my brother’s shop, but he’s been doing this stuff for decades, slowly working up to this dream of baking bread. Get here. Eat bread. Try our family recipe jalapeño cream cheese dip. Have a latte.

I stumbled into The Baking Room for the first time a few months ago, on the eve of a big exam and desperate to camp out for a couple of hours in a coffee shop to cram. I grabbed a latte, a slice of blueberry coffee cake (holy crap, that stuff is addictive — and made in-house!), and the WiFi password, did some hardcore studying, and immediately became a Baking Room loyalist. (I’m personally convinced it’s an academic good-luck charm, for those coming from Anschutz.)

The Baking Room, beyond the incredible bread — the sourdough country loaf is my favorite, and you should definitely check out the spreads, because I really prefer to barbarically double-fist my bread with their whipped honey butter to my left and the garlic butter or jalapeño cream cheese on my right — offers a lovely, neighborhood-oriented environment and outstanding food made by good people.

The staff is super friendly without being overbearing, the playlist strikes that perfect balance between chill and energizing, and the bread is always fresh, perfectly crusty, and made with care.

If you're into supporting local gems with great vibes and even better baked goods, The Baking Room deserves a spot on your regular rotation. Definitely plan to show up (or place an online order!) earlier rather than later if you’re counting on bread (especially the baguettes, which tend to come out of the oven around 9:30am); they can and do sell out.
