I know this place is closed but I'm still going to leave a little review saying the service was great and the food delicious. I came from out of town and stopped by for a quick lunch. I got the original meat pie and the crust was so perfect and flaky and the pie filling was delicious and savory. I really hope this closure is temporary because I fully intend to visit this place again if I am back in town and they are open.

I've always wanted to try kangaroo meat and got a chance to try it when I came across this restaurant. Ordered the Kangaroo pie and was pleasantly surprised with how tender the meat was, but I would've gone with beef cause I don't think I like the taste of kangaroo. Had a bite of my sister's beef and cheese pie and definitely liked it more. The sausage roll was perfect. Flakey, and tangy, it was packed with flavor. The larrington (cake) left a bit more to be desired. It looked amazing but the taste didn't match its appearance. Quiet dry. Same with the Anzac biscuits, not my cup of tea. Different strokes for different folks. Also, the people that worked there were extremely friendly and the place looked great. You know you're in the right place when other Australians were in the restaurant eating the meat pies. I would love to have their sausage roll again, and try the beef and mushroom pie next time I am in town.

Excellent! Best pot pie you'll ever have. The owners operate this business, so you'll get first class service while your eating in. Mark and Lee Anne are amazing people. I recommend the beef and cheese pie... The dough melts in your mouth. The place is always tidy and clean... And most importantly the food is AMAZING.

I cannot express in words how authentic and amazing these meat pies are. As an Australian living in America, it's hard to find anything close(pot pies do not count as meat pies). The crust is mouthwatering and the filling is flavourful and delicious. I was eating it with my hands and making a mess it was that good. I'm only visiting Colorado on holiday and I wish there was one in Texas where I live.

Oi! The Great Australian Bite will have you hopping in for more. I was pleasantly surprised at both the atmosphere and offerings inside. Small but beautifully decorated, the menu fits the size of the restaurant perfectly. Rather than offer dozens of mediocre options, the Great Australian Bite offers savory pies and delicious sausage rolls.

A true taste of Australia carried out in outstanding fashion. The meat pies are gourmet food for the masses. The sausage rolls are simple food made to be simply delicious. The desserts are slices of caramel and lemon, with lamington and custard tarts. All new to the American palate that will beg for more.

Ate here again today. Had the Curry Chicken Pie and Sausage Roll with requisite mashed potatoes, gravy and mushy peas. Ginger beer to wash it all down. And again, everything was fantastic! The consistency of this place has been perfect since they opened a few years ago. I wish there was a line out the door every time I come here, that's why I'm writing a Yelp review. This place is simple yet so satisfying. Just a great, quick- casual comfort food spot. And definitely spot on, if you have ever been to Australia. As an afterthought- I'm surprised they don't have a food truck as well. This is the perfect type of menu for that. Would add another great addition to the current Street Food scene, and would also be a welcome sight at any football or rugby venue/pub etc...
