I had a very disappointing experience at Nile Ethiopian Restaurant. The food used to be much better in the past, but it seems like the quality has gone down—possibly due to a change in ownership. On top of that, I accidentally left my key there, and when I went back to retrieve it, the staff gave me a hard time. Even though I had proof that the key was mine, they treated me with attitude and made it feel like they didn’t want to return it at all. And I drove from far to get my card.

I came with my family and friends for lunch the waitress she came and brought menu and she asked us what we need water or other thing we ordered her water, shivering water, and she took our order after shivering our order. She never come back again and my kids they keep asking me water we couldn’t find either Reshid. Finally we sit down for long time to pay after that I went to the podium I asked to pay and she told him to sit back shivering and she you know she wanted me to put some tip. I write down to her. It is weak service no tip. I don’t know the owner she knows or no this waitress they killed the restaurant.

We have eaten in a number of Ethiopian restaurants throughout the Aurora area. All good but this one comes out on top. Very clean, good service and priced well. We had the injera plate covered with multiple vegetarian items. Every item is excellent, and this one plate (about $21.00) satisfies both of us. Easy parking in this strip mall. I definitely recommend this place.
Nile Ethiopian Restaurant is a true local treasure! The place has a warm, inviting vibe, the staff are incredibly friendly, and their Tibs dish is simply amazing — tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. A must-try for anyone who loves authentic Ethiopian food!
This place is legit! The vegetarian combo, lamb ribs, yebere derek ribs were unbelievably delicious. The atmosphere and service were also sheer perfection. Thank you Lydiya for a wonderful meal! Can't wait to come back.

A great little spot, lots of options and the waitress was very helpful; I initially picked a dish and she warned me it was pretty spicy and when I asked for a recommendation she suggested Lamb Tibs, which is easier for the kitchen to make milder. I got it medium and it was the perfect spicy so I'm glad she said something or I might not have been able to handle the other dish (Lamb Kay Wot if I remember)! Fair warning they do cook the meat with the bone on so if you get a stew style dish you may have a bone piece in it, be careful. It was easy to notice and eat around and I'm sure it wouldn't be as delicious without it, but if you've never eaten something similar it could be unexpected.
Once we were sat and had ordered, the waitress disappeared and we ended up waiting for boxes and the check for about an hour longer than I would have wanted. They were very busy at the time, so initially I wasn't bothered, but I did notice a table that arrived after us was able to finish and pay and leave before we were checked on again which was frustrating. It was a contrast to her awesome service in general: when she was at our table she was a rockstar, but when she wasn't there I felt very forgotten which was frustrating. She was nice and very apologetic about it. Maybe she was new and hasn't gotten the pacing of multiple tables down yet. Anyway it didn't ruin the experience, just a little irksome.
Will definitely be returning!

During our stay in Denver, we visited Nile Ethiopian Restaurant almost every day—and for good reason. From the moment we walked in, we felt completely at home. The food is authentic and full of the rich, traditional flavors we know and love. Every dish tasted just like home cooking, reminding us of Ethiopia with each bite. The service was warm and welcoming, and the owner went out of their way to make us feel like family. If you’re looking for genuine Ethiopian hospitality and flavor, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!
