Terrible experience at Tiger Sugar today – will think twice before coming back.
My wife and I are regular customers here; we come almost every month, sometimes multiple times. Today, the staff made our drinks wrong twice. We had to wait while they remade them, which already frustrated us.
When it came time to pay, I used a Tiger Sugar gift card that I know for a fact had over $100 remaining on it. The two employees at the counter kept insisting the card had zero balance. They repeatedly swiped it, looked confused, and told me there was no money on it. I was certain there was a balance, but they made me feel like I was lying or mistaken.
On top of that, both employees kept staring at my wife in a very rude and uncomfortable way throughout the entire interaction. No smiles, no politeness – just blank, almost hostile stares.
After wasting a lot of time and making the situation awkward, they finally figured out how to check the card properly and admitted there was indeed money on it. All we got was a half-hearted “sorry” – no real apology, no offer to make it right.
Clearly, management has failed to train staff on how to handle their own gift cards. It’s unacceptable that loyal customers get treated like this, accused of having an empty card, and made to feel unwelcome. Very disappointing from a chain we used to enjoy.

I don't know what took us so long to come to this place but WOW!! We've already came about 5 times already and we're addicted. These drinks are so good and fair priced. We have found our favorite drink from the menu and each time it is made to perfection. All the employees are very friendly and answer questions with no hesitation. Love this place!

The best boba place around! Jacklyn and Joselyn were super friendly and helpful with selecting some of the new menu items. Thanks!

I love coming to this place; it's honestly one of my favorite boba spots in the area, and I've recommended it to so many people. Their original brown sugar tea is so good. It has that deep, rich molasses flavor that hits perfectly every time it's made right, and you just can't find that same taste anywhere else. It's one of those drinks that, when it's done well, you crave for days afterward.

Another thing I really appreciate is that they offer non-dairy milk options. You'd think more boba shops would do this, but it's actually super rare, so I love that they're inclusive of people who are lactose-sensitive or just trying to avoid dairy. It makes the menu feel way more accessible.

The shop itself is on the smaller side. It's cute, but I do wish they had even a tiny lounge area or some comfy seating. It would be so nice to sit down with friends, hang out, and enjoy your drinks instead of having to take everything to go. It's not a dealbreaker, just one of those things that would make the whole experience feel more relaxed and complete.

Now... my only real issue with this place, and honestly, the thing that breaks my heart a little, is the inconsistency. When they get it right, it's phenomenal. Truly 5-star, no hesitation, best boba in town. But when they miss, they really miss.

The last time I went, the boba was extremely hard, like it hadn't been cooked long enough, and it barely had any of the brown sugar syrup that gives it that signature flavor. It was honestly disappointing because I was so excited for it. And the time before that, I didn't get any boba at all in my drink, which is wild considering that's literally the main reason you order it.
It just feels crazy to me that a place with such high potential allows that level of inconsistency. If they could tighten up their quality control and make sure every drink tastes the same amazing way each time, this would be an always-reliable 5-star spot for me. But with my most recent experiences, I just can't give them a great rating right now, even though I really wish I could. I keep coming back because I know how good it can be, but I need them to get it together and be consistent.

Used to be good, but now just tastes like expensive water with boba. Nasty and overpriced. Not sure what changed, but I do not recommend this place.

I noticed in the last couple months that the staff has changed and so have the quality of their milk tea. The last few visits the boba has been hard in the center and the milk teas are missing sweetness. Perhaps the new staff members need more training. I can’t justify the price when the drinks are weak.

Used to be good but it's just super inconsistent nowadays. The staff changed and it seems to me that they don't put quality first anymore. Whoever is the owner of this location needs to teach their staff the proper way of making the drinks. They constantly put thr wrong type of boba in the drinks if you request something new.

I get that the staff of these types of establishments are on the younger side, however, that's not an excuse to be so inconsistent and blatantly lazy at paying attention to what is requested. Even the boba has been inconsistent, some batches are overly tough and not pleasant to chew.

This place used to be my favorite, but it has really been going downhill. I really wish I could still recommend this place to people but I really can't. Please consider the inconsistency of the drinks.

Not a single person in the store & the lady was rude and unwelcoming to the point where I didn’t even want to order anymore after asking a few questions about the menu. Do not recommend.

Don't let the fancy branding fool you. Mediocre product and service for the price. Strictly to-go, no sit down options.

Not great service and the boba wasn’t good.

I’m giving this review two stars instead of one because the service wasn’t terrible. But it also wasn’t good either to be clear. The guy was somewhat cold.

I’m mainly just upset about my drink itself. Which I didn’t even finish. It’s rare for me to not finish a drink. I really regret coming here.

VILE!!!!

Me and my two friends got the number seven and the five on your menu at 8pm on 9/10. I was a little concerned watching the two girls working at the counter make our drinks by pouring something from an overly full, UNCOVERED pitcher they pulled out from under the counter with some milk before sealing it and passing it over. I was a little put off, but oh my god— the freshness was the least of my worries.

The first drink we got was the number five, and it was fine at first but about three sips in, there was something that just tasted weird and my friend felt like her stomach was going to turn if she drank anymore of it. The aftertaste was bizarre.

Then there was the taro. Absolutely abhorrent. Positively putrid. I cannot understate how utterly, irredeemably repulsive what I drank was. It was like drinking liquidized sandpaper. It was grainy and chunky. What I thought was boba was a ball of something dry and powdery with a crunchy texture to it? And before anyone asks—YES, I shook the cup. I stirred it with the straw. I even took a sip of my boyfriend’s (who got the same thing) after he shook it like a can of spray paint, and it was equally— if not, MORE disgusting than mine. It genuinely nauseated me from the texture alone. I was picking pieces of god knows what out of my teeth while we drove to your nearest competitor to find something edible to wash the taste out of my mouth. $23 for something I wouldn’t give to my worst enemy is outrageous. Disappointed is a gross understatement.

The staff I interacted with seemed kind enough, but I’m embarrassed for them for what they had to serve me.

To anyone looking for an alternative, RareTea isn’t too far away. The taro milk tea I found there was like a little slice of heaven after this awful experience.

Great taste!

The asian lady, who is the manager or owner has the worst customer service ever. Her face is mad and her tone is rude to customer.

Chloe Prewitt

Honestly not a good boba place... the taro is like drinking sandy water.
