I'm leaving 2 stars because Tokyo joes is one of my favorite chain places to enjoy a fast an easy meal. But unfortunately.... I'm displeased with this specific location and I don't believe I'll be returning here. The Arapaho crossing location is way better if you ask me. I'm not happy with my experience here at the Southlands location because of the careless workers. I work in the food industry myself but if I could take back the tip I left, I would. Mid way through waiting for my meal . I asked for my bowl to be put in a to go container knowing I wouldn't finish it all and want to take it home meanwhile, eat my 4 piece sushi there. I knew something was wrong when I waiting over 10 minutes for my food and seeing people who ordered after me getting their food. So my gut told me that I should go up and check on my order.... To find out that my bowl was ready to go out in a door dash order and my sushi was sitting there. The gentleman was apologetic and I get mistakes happen, but when I was standing in line to take my order for some time, I noticed that they were already confused about which order was which before they got confused with mine. When I received my sushi . It was room temperature and there was no mango in it.... I ordered the salmon mango roll... maybe they gave me someone else's sushi ? But it made me nervous eating it because it wasn't cold and definitely wasn't fresh. The flavors here at this location seem different and a little off than most locations I've been to. They filled my sauce cups half full and I don't understand how I'm supposed to get enough sauce on my large bowl. Overall, I think this location would be better if they had a supervisor helping these kids out or at least a better one if there is one. They need some help or a better training process in there because these mistakes shouldn't be happening at all. They are a very social staff, standing around talking and laughing with each other when they aren't frantic with their orders. And like I said, I work in the food industry myself and know the standards that should be kept in order to have a healthy work environment. In their free time, they should be cleaning the establishment or sweeping considering there's chunks of dried up rice and vegetables all over the floor... unfortunately I'll probably have to drive an extra 10 minutes to the other nearest location because I don't see myself wanting to return to this specific one.

We usually like Tokyo Joe's. But lately this particular location has been horrible. Portion sizes are tiny. These were our big, double veggy, bowls with just about every vegetable. Parker one is awesome. Corporate Tokyo Joes. Hopefully you aren't encouraging the shrinking portions. If so we are out.

First and last time at this particular location. They got our bowls correct. However they completely forgot one sauce, and left another sauce container open, letting spill all over the inside of the bag, resulting in a messy order and a second sauce for the order functionally missing. We really enjoy Tokyo Joe’s, but I would recommend getting it from a different location.

The mango rolls were 90% rice. BARELY any fish and the rice was literally mush visibly on close look and on my palate. 8 rolls took 15+ minutes and I was the only customer. I appreciate the refund though. The last time I reviewed a Tokyo Joe's the manager commented back to email her/corporate (took 30m on 1 bowl) on Google. I received NO REPLY to TWO emails when this is what was asked of me. It's all about appearances, right Tokyo Joe's corporate? Look at the pics....you tell me?UPDATE 6/9/2022 - 4d after review....NO RESPONSE....TOKYO JOE'S IS BLATENTLY NOT GIVING A F.

Good staff. Horrible portions. Big dark chicken w/ extra meat only filled up 2/3 of there to-go box. A year ago you would of had a large meal. Now you have a small snack. If you eat more than a small child spend your money elsewhere. The portion to price ratio is just sad.

So when you walk into a restaurant and it takes the clerk 10 minutes just to acknowledge your existence and it's only because someone else has to get there attention you know you're in for it. But my kid is hungry so here I am trying to get food. I'm polite when ordering and was told it might be a little extra time for chicken on one of the things I ordered and I said, "sure no problem." I didn't think it would be an hour wait as a walk in for my Togo order that consisted of 3 things. On top of this you can see into the kitchen the staff complaining to each other about something to do with the Oder and it was haphazardly put together in a passive aggressive fashion. I don't know what I did to deserve this treatment but that is what I got. Leaving the clerk did apologize for the wait and I was polite to them as I left. The whole experience left me not wanting to feed any of it to my family, and inspecting it I'm glad I didn't. Thanks for the rotten sweet potato; starving a two year old and making a single moms life very difficult. I will not be returning; obviously!

Place use to be a great place to come. Went in today and the place is filthy and the order took forever. The drinks are always broken or empty? UGH! Completely disappointed

This is the worst Tokyo I have ever been to. I am an avid customer but every time I order from here they screw it up. The employees taking the order have zero customer service skills. I am constantly having to send my food back for a simple request "no sauce" which they can't quit figure out. Please get this store some help and competent people. Sad they are not busy... likely due to employee incompetence.

Aweful service here. Ordered our food around 8 for dine-in on a friday night. Food finally got to our table at 8:29. Kicked us out right at 8:30. Not a great way to run a restaurant.

I’m giving two stars since customers service was good but I found a long hair strand in my sushi that I order and my noodles that I order which made me lose my appetite.

I placed a delivery order today 3/13/22 @ around 1:06pm at this store. When my food was delivered I did not get my drink. My potstickers had no sauce, I didn't get the extra spicy joes aioli I asked for and my avocado was hard as a rock. I called asking to speak to the manager and the guy who answered tried to get the manager on the phone but I could hear the manager refusing to get on the phone and told the guy who answered to just deal with it. I explained the issues and let them know I did not get my drink. The guy who answered told the manager what was going on and he came back on the phone and said my manager said there was nothing they could do about it. I asked what about my drink that I didn't get and this inedible avocado, the guy was like you can come in and get a drink. I have never received such service in my life. I am a regular customer and will not be eating at Tokyo Joe's again unless this is corrected. The manager would not even get on the phone and I could here the whole exchange between the employee and the manager.

This location is horrible. 4 ot of 5 times my order is wrong. How are you going to give me a bowl without the meat for the 2nd time?!?! And running out of sauce on Friday night at 6? HORRIBLE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION!
