This morning was a tough one for me. I passed Winchell’s, made a U-turn, and came back simply because I wanted a donut—haha. I’m so glad I did.
The gentleman at the counter greeted me with a genuine smile and such warm energy the moment I walked in. I could tell he noticed me taking in the family and history photos on the wall, and there was something really comforting about that. His customer service, positive vibe, and welcoming spirit completely turned my morning around.
Thank you, sir. You made more of a difference than you know.

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and the guy working behind the counter was simply awesome. Knew about every style and flavor. He was witty and professional. We intended to buy 3 and walked out with 14. Damn I love a good donut

Im so glad I walked into this Winchells today, it granted me the needed stability I lacked from the beauty of the unique human experience. As I had a free moment this morning I decided to dine in. I listened to the pleasant exchanges between the worker and the customer. When it was just him and I he so graciously offered to fill up my coffee. More coffee wants for more donut however so I ordered another, a plain glaze. I, expectant to pay at the counter, humbly walked away with a free donut gifted by the donut attendant for apparently no reason. It was due in part to this sheer unprecedented kindness that I was moved to make a review. The donuts were perfect, light and fluffy and moist and bready which perfectly complimented the delicious drip coffee. Winchells is an essential institution of the western United States, one I was only made aware of recently but will never take for granted again.
