The pork adobo is fantastic, probably the best in Denver... Wait, this is the only Filipino restaurant in Denver so that's not such a big deal. It's kind of confusing because the menu says that the place is called real Thai II. this is the former site of Chow Sun restaurant. same owners, but for some reason they've been able to vastly improve the quality of the quality of the food. Long gone is the steam table that used to occupy counter space.
We went here on Sunday after Church. Was super skeptical because we are Filipino and my parents were in town so they came to try the food. It was pretty good. The biggest thing that annoys me in Filipino food restaurants is that sometimes it’s too salty. I’m here to report this was not the case. We ordered quite a lot of food and we did not have a lot of leftovers because it was yummy. The best thing we had in my opinion was the bistek, Thai rice, and palabok. The service...
I visit CO often due to my partners family being out there and as a Filipino American I am always searching for a good Filipino spot.
I like how it’s a simple, authentic place. The flavors are there and the family who owns it seem very sweet. The only thing I would say is we ordered the pancit and I was a little disappointed in the type of noodles that were used. I felt like I was eating chow mein.
That being said, I will definitely be dining again!
