We were checked in by Melinda and she was one of the kindest most helpful front desk people I’ve ever come across. She made parking at the ice rink easy for us and all of her recommendations for things to do in Breckenridge were spot on. We will definitely return soon. Our unit was well stocked with everything you need and a big plus was the full size refrigerator in the premium studio. We plan to try a two bedroom next time and bring our family with us. Some reviews mentioned no hot water for showers but you just had to let it run for a while and it was hot. Hot tubs were great. Burro trail was great for snowshoeing and slopes were really convenient.
Positives - Our room was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable as well as the living room furniture. Negatives - This is going to be long! Parking - It is not free! $50.00 a night and no guarantee that there will be a spot. Ski in/Ski out - it is close proximity but it is still a hike before you strap on your skis by the lift. Fireplace was not working - we complained which they acknowledged there were problems. Laundry - Laundry detergent was provided under the sink but when I went to go use the machines, I had to download an app to pay for the washer and then the dryer. This is not the same in other area resorts. The heat lamp was out in the bathroom. This is an overall indicator of not keeping up with maintenance. In attempting to report these issues, we were told the manager was not on property. Over a five day stay and several visits to the desk to report issues, we were never contacted by the manager. When thinking about staying here, consider the overall costs for your stay. Next year, this will not be one of the options.
Took in a few days of late season hiking. The location is great with trails a few steps away from the building. Our room was well appointed and maintained with a beautiful view of the mountain. When booking, we asked for a view and got a great view high up in the building of the slopes. We had easy walks at night into town. We are looking forward to our ski trip out here in March!
Here is the bad: 1] we stayed in #1013. When you book they don’t give you the unit number you are actually going to be staying in. That isn’t assigned until days before you get there. This was supposed to be a “premium unit” but the furniture was cheap and mismatched, the TV in the family room was mounted so high on the wall that it hurt your neck to watch it for very long, the appliances were the cheapest I’ve ever seen, and the sink in the 2nd bathroom leaked (when we checked in there was a bucket and towel underneath it, so they knew about this before we got there). 2] our unit was described as a “forest view”. It was on the ground floor and the view was of a couple of bushes and the back of a neighboring condo building. 3] it was described as “ski in/ski out”. It was about a 200 yard walk to the nearest lift. 4] another surprise was that parking (self serve) is $50 per night! 5] no barbecue grill anywhere near the unit. Here is the good: 1] there was plenty of hot water for showers, etc. 2] the beds were comfortable. All in all it was disappointing. Also, if you plan on using the facilities to cook, beware that they strip the place of every possible condiment. If you want to cook you need to buy everything yourself. That includes salt, pepper, sugar, flour, baking soda, etc. EVERYTHING. I won’t book a place like this through some management company again. I want to be able to deal directly with the OWNER of the property, not some disinterested employee of an absent management company.
This place is below 1 star. The rooms are not decorated, probably didn’t have any work within past 10 years. The management is very unfriendly. We got to the hotel at 5 pm, the room was not even ready, the parking lot was not available and the management was so unfriendly. Finally after parking on the other part of town, we got to the room. The place was very old style. The carpets very dirty. The bathtub didn’t work. We ask management for change which never happened. My recommendations- stay away from this property or book directly from the owner - like airbnb so you can get unit you want and you don’t need to deal with the management of this property.
The Villages at Breckenridge was extremely underwhelming. As epic pass holders, I would never suggest or return to this property again. The biggest issue we had was no hot water for showers the entire trip. We were unable to shower our whole trip! We called maintenance after skiing all day about the shower. We were told it would be fixed when we returned from dinner that night. It was not. The next morning we tried to shower and again no warm water. It was ice cold. I wish this was all the problems that we had but let’s start from the first night. To begin, the room we got was not what we booked on the phone. It was extremely outdated and old with carpets in the bathroom, yuck. our phone was broken. It’s an ancient wall phone that fell off every time you walk by, because there’s like Barely any space to walk. When I asked the engineer, while he was trying to fix our shower, he told me that I had to call the front desk to get connected to housekeeping - whom never answered the phone or returned messages. We called the first night to request extra towels and throughout our whole 3 day stay, no one ever answered the phone or returned our messages. Since we couldn’t take showers, we had to use towels to wash ourselves. The staff seemed extremely amateur and offered no solutions, sympathies or alternatives for us. The door under the sink was broken and hanging off when we got into the room. I also found a tiny screw on the floor. Which was very scary considering we had a 1.5yr old with us, who puts everything in his mouth. In addition, the dresser in the room is extremely tall and the drawers fly out when you open them. They are very heavy and my son nearly dropped one on himself. It was a completely safety hazard for us. The morning of check out, we asked for an extended check out due to all the issues and they told us firmly NO. Then she tried to tell us that we could shower at the pool area. After 3 days, when we’re checking out, you tell us there’s showers there. Iv stayed at camp sites with better amenities and hospitality. They also would not let us extend our parking at the property. She told us there was $0.50 parking across the street, which was also not true and totally packed by 8:30am. She offered us a $40 refund for the “inconveniences” - which we paid for in parking. We felt the staff were not equipped with the right tools to manage this property. The Most helpful person was the valet guy. I hope that Epic will look into this property and hospitality practices further but we will definitely never stay here again.
We previously liked staying in this place, so it's the 3rd time we're staying here, for 8 days 7 night. Yet it's turning south. The management just want to take your money, doesn't take care of the rooms. The toilet was never working right, had to call help everyday. (The first time my husband was nice enough to pump it, afraid it would overflow.) Then with half the buildings vacant, they downgraded us to a room next to the trash room with no internet, and the draft was so bad, had to wear a jacket inside. Was told that was the Gm, so they do not care about hospitality, or customer satisfaction, just to take your money. Don't book or stay there
You may have to pay for parking across town. The shuttle goes close by. Waited for almost an hour for a shuttle once when I needed it most and had to walk to the ice rink across town where the paid parking lot is, with all our luggage. Didn't have that problem at One Ski Hill Place, which I recommend over this place.
I’m sure this place rocks, but as far as I can tell, it is no longer in Breckenridge after walking around the city looking for it!
We stayed at the "Village at Breckenridge" this weekend. We got up this morning to get breakfeast. We put the do not disturb on the door knob. On our return we found a maid pacing in front of our door. I noticed the do not disturb sign was no longer on the door knob. We entered the room to find two girls in our room dressed in normal clothes (not a maid uniform like the girl in the hallway). They claimed to be maids and were immediately apologetic. They had no cleaning supplies or cleaning cart. They left quickly. I talked to another couple in hallway and they stated they were knocking on their door as well. We went to the front desk to report the incident. The manager all but blew me off!!! She said we can't do anything until they talk to the maid supervisor and then the GM! The only way into the room is with a key card. Very sad experience. We are fortunate that we walked in when we did. We notified the police. If you stay at this hotel DO NOT LEAVE ANY VALUABLES in room. We still haven't heard from hotel mgmt! They obv don't care! Be careful.

Stayed in a beautiful 1 bedroom unit with a pull out couch for our 2nd couple. Nicely decorated And clean. We’ve stayed here before during skiing season. Love in and out ski to Quicksilver lift, and being downtown and walking distance to shops/restaurants. The Village recently redid their pool/hot tub/sauna/workout room areas. Gathering room by pool also redone. Great area to hang, free shuffle board, pool and video games. Front desk very accommodating. I’ll be back’
We travel frequently for business, but this is by far our worst experience in the last few years. As others in the reviews note, the rooms are older and clearly no one cares to maintain them. The front desk staff is, I agree with others, friendly, but they aren't able to be helpful because they immediately express an inability to make decisions or to help with the rooms themselves. We were charged a different price (of $100+ more) than the one we accepted in print from the hotel originally, and we're still trying to get that difference back. While we were waiting for a long checkout line to clear, a couple was sent away because they refused to accept a reservation made through Priceline. "We're sorry. You'll need to call Priceline." People were made to have their pictures taken while others waited to checkin. The check-in process as a whole took about 15 to 20 minutes per guest. Other guests were in rooms without only a window for ventilation and no air conditioning in extreme July heat. Our room had multiple balconies, so we had enough air flow to keep our room livable. This was great until the evenings when multiple sirens manage to invade your sleep. I could go on, but this hotel ruined a beautiful location. My guess is the owners see it as a cash cow and will milk it until it crumbles to the ground.
Stayed at Peak9Inn, one of seven properties that share an underground parking garage (better than parking outside near the quicksilver ski lift; you will need a parking key at the front desk and then to return after). 7 floors. Great view and walking distance to farmer’s market on Sunday, local shops and Oxygen bar (for those who didn’t bring Diamox and ascended too quickly to 9200 feet). Great place for honeymoon and strolling. Breckenridge has a couple of grocery stores but I suggest packing all the food you need to cook in your condo kitchen or stopping by a bigger city like Frisco to get fruit/eggs/steak etc. The kitchen is fully equipped but the larger room may have an electric grill. No AC but open the windows in the morning before the crowd downstairs use the hot tubs and pool outside. You can hear them through the window if you sleep early. The gym was adequate but the play lounge was awesome with billiards and Pac-Man tables for 3 or 4 (bring quarters). They have rudimentary store across from registration desk but $4 water bottles. The candy shop across the walk doesn’t open until 9am but doesn’t sell Starbucks.
I booked a studio at the Village for a business trip. The room they put me in was horrible, but they fixed it by upgrading me to a one-bedroom at no charge that was a vast improvement. The Village is a sort of campus of several buildings connected by an underground garage. Its location between the commercial district of town and the lifts is superb. Much of the property is dated, however, as I discovered when I checked in. When I arrived in my room the smoke detector was beeping every minute. There was an ancient wall phone with buttons for various departments, but when I pushed the button for "maintenance" I get a recording that said I needed to use a ten-digit number to reach them - and I had no idea what that number was. I walked back to registration and they sent a maintenance person up. He had to replace the smoke detector. While he was there I asked him why the room temperature was 80 degrees, when the outside temperature was 62. He said the rooms "held their heat." There was no AC. There was a box window fan in the closet, covered with dust. The windows did not open very much, and the screen did not fit well in them. I used the fan for half an hour but it only got the temp down to 79. There was also a portable "swamp cooler" in the closet, but it was not hooked up. The maintenance man offered to hook it up and put in the water and ice needed to operate, but I had a feeling it would make too much noise to allow me to sleep. The room had other problems. There were lots of signs of wear and lack of attention. The clocks in the room did not show anything close to the correct time. There were very few electrical outlets; it was hard to find one to plug the fan into. The TV was small and old. I knew I was not going to be happy there. I headed out to dinner and stopped at the front desk to tell the clerk how unhappy I was, and to request a solution. I told her I would check back after dinner. When I came back she had arranged to move me to a one-bedroom in another building at no extra charge. In doing so she changed a really bad situation into a really good one. Once I got to the other room things improved. It was roomy, well-furnished, well-ventilated and comfortable. The bedroom was quiet and the bed was nice; I got a great night's sleep. The wireless internet hooked up quickly and worked well. My only complaint was that the alarm on the clock next to the bed went off at 5:50 a.m., although I had not set an alarm. Fortunately I was already up, but this again showed some inattention to detail by the housekeeping staff. This stay could have turned in to a disaster, but thanks to a talented, diplomatic front desk clerk, it turned out well. When I return to Breckenridge I would stay at the Village again, if I could get the same or similar 1-BR suite, even if I had to pay more.
We stayed in a standard studio. It was a little small for 3 people, but we made it work. The front desk was very responsive when we asked for more towels or needed help with decorations. It is a quick 3 minute walk to the quick silver lift. It is walking distance to many great restaurants. About a 15-20 minute walk to Kroger. There is a smaller supermarket that is just 5 minutes up the street. I broke my leg so I can say that it was also very accessible and also there is an urgent care that is apart of the same building. We have stayed in many onsite ski resort hotels, and this has become our favorite. Not bad for the price as well.
