I’ve been coming here for years, and it’s always been one of my favorite spots in Breck — everything was consistently delicious. They even have those cozy outdoor snow globes you can sit in, which makes the vibe super special, especially in the winter. I’m honestly so disappointed to learn they added meat to the menu after being fully vegan for so long. It’s still a great spot, but it definitely feels bittersweet now. We had read the reviews and decided to go and check it out. They are far from the only previously-only vegan places who needed to add some non-vegan options just to stay in business. We each ordered a salad and both were huge and delicious and healthy. We split a (huge) pizza (all vegan) and it may have been the best vegan pizza we've ever had. The cheesecake was more of a custard in a cup, which we have been seeing more and more lately.

i've been going here for years, even back when they were in denver. decided to take my parents down to breckenridge and show them a place i once loved to eat. i have taken several long trips because i enjoyed the pizza very much unfortunately, when we sat down we were immediately asked if we wanted dairy cheese. i asked her "so this isn't a vegan restaurant anymore" and she said "it is vegan, it's all vegan, we're just accommodating for people" i apologized and told her i wasn't about this. she then further explained that "it's all vegan except for the three options" which was dairy cheese, and 2 meat options. i repeated "so it isn't a vegan restaurant then," and i told her i will not be returning. she was nice and i didn't want to take it out on her but i felt flabbergasted at the use of the word "accomodation" to people who don't have to think twice about what and where they eat. it felt like a slap in the face. it's not accomodation, it's pandering. i honestly felt like the workers are being told to guilt trip customers about how they would be shut down otherwise (she repeated twice that they'd be shut down if they didn't do this, no one in my party believed that) and how people would come eating alone without friends or family. she said they've gotten a lot of backlash from the vegan community, which, to me, feels fair. absolutely no disrepsect to the kind waitress doing her job, i was not aggressive with her and i appreciated her service, but i wanted to be clear and concise: if there is meat and dairy being sold then it's not a vegan restaurant. piante meants plants in italian, their logo is akin to a carrot, they tell their customers that it's all "still vegan" when there is murder in the kitchen. i don't support cosplaying ethics and they sold their souls to devil. this is decietful. they're calling themselves plant-based in their instagram bio. not only do i not want to support nonvegan business, i do not wish to support this sneaky business model of trying to appease to customers who have all the choices in the world while trying to pretend it's "all vegan". i do not support this place and i will not be returning, not only because they serve meat, which is disgraceful, but because they're still pretending to be a vegan restaurant & possibly attempting to guilt and/or trick their customers. years ago they said they would return to denver and they never did. now i hope they don't Updated from previous review on 2025-10-15

Like others have mentioned, they now serve cheese and meat. The meat is not listed on the menu however, we had to ask to find out that they have real sausage and pepperoni. Cheese is listed. My husband was happy and I was happy and the pizza is still fantastic, I dunno, I’m not too bothered by them adding meat and cheese. When like 98% of the places I eat serve meat and cheese I’m just glad there is still a place like Piante offering exciting and creative vegan options. The jalapeño poppers were excellent and so was the pizza!!

So happy to I got come here!! Everything on the menu is vegan and outrageously good. The food quality is super high. I got the lasagna pizza add San Marzano tomatoes. 12/10. Updated from previous review on 2025-08-21

I love this place. It's been a go-to that we've supported for years, and we always make a point to stop in when we're passing Breckenridge. I'm truly disappointed to see that they now serve meat and dairy, despite calling themselves a vegan restaurant. Truly heartbreaking to see them turn their backs on plant-based values and ethics. Unfortunately, this seems to be a theme with "vegan" restaurants in Colorado lately. I guess they bend to the whines of the flesh eaters and cow breast milk dinkers instead of standing up for the exploited whom they once claimed to exist for. Sad and disgraceful. Absolutely heartbroken, the restaurant model is not what it used to be and serving flesh and dairy to stay in business to me is just screaming hypocrisy when baby cows and AV cards are on display

There’s so many options! Even snacks! The cashew ricotta is excellent, but the chart topper for me was the Oreo peanut butter cheesecake! SO GOOD! Even my Omni husband loved it!

As of today, this restaurant is still fully vegan. The Chkn parm pizza was amazing, as were the pizza rolls! Updated from previous review on 2025-07-04

Vegan only pizza. Bleh Italians would be ashamed of this place.

What can I say about this place? The atmosphere, food, and service were amazing. It had the best pizza I've ever had, so good, and the sauce was out of this world. Our waiter, Jacob, made us feel at home; he even remembered us when we returned for a second visit. He was friendly and welcoming, making our experience even better.

5 STARS! (HappyCow they’re fully vegan) Went two days in a row & would be back weekly if we lived in Breck, but I’ve come back to visit the last 3 years. The El Jefe is a perfect pie. Our servers were kind and friendly, and attentive without overdoing it. And they’re on the ball keeping customers hydrated. 10/10 would eat here again.

Best gluten free crust I’ve ever had!! The BBQ pizza was amazing- I will be going out of my way to come back to Breck for this restaurant.

Idk what the deal is with all these reviews from the last 6 months that say they added dairy and meat options. I asked them today and they said it’s all vegan. Updated from previous review on 2025-06-11
