It’s should’ve been a sign that this place wouldn’t be good when we saw that the restaurant was basically empty. We were barely waited on by our server, my friends food was so bad that she felt sick after eating it and when I tried it (cause surely it couldn’t be that bad) I couldn’t get that rancid taste out of my mouth. I wouldn’t say that y'all should cease to be a business but I’m confident in saying that others should stop going here. The food…forgettable. The service…abysmal. The owner who can’t handle criticism on reviews and make their restaurant better…worthless.

We were seated immediately but that was the only good thing about this place. I asked a few questions about the menu to clarify and we decided what we wanted to order. My friend got a burger and I got the chicken tenders with the garlic parm “sauce” on the side because I thought it would be way too saucy but once I realized it wouldn’t be I asked politely to get it tossed and the waitress took it and immediately talked to another coworker and pointed and laughed at me. When we waited 5 or so minutes for them to toss the sauce and tenders together I said jokingly “one star review” (not realizing what I was saying in the moment would become a true one star review) and I didn’t get the food for another few minutes. Once the food came out it was clear they just plopped the “garlic parm” dressing on top (the sauce was just garlic). The chicken didn’t taste right and the sauce wasn’t great. My friend who would eat anything even decided not to eat the tenders. She never came by to ask how our food was or to refill our water. We had to try and get her to bring the check over a few times. I ended up having to get jimmy John’s next door afterwards. Our waitress never gave her name but she was blonde.

This is literally my favorite bar/restaurant EVER! Amazing selection of drinks and the food is fantastic! They have awesome seasonal selections as well. The staff (ALL OF THEM!) are second to none! so friendly and absolutely excellent service. We have been here so many times and have never had a bad experience. Cannot express enough how much we love Blakes!

I was going to leave a two or three star review but based off the way the owner or manager responds to negative reviews, they definitely deserves a one star. That says a lot about the establishment and how it’s run. Is it that hard to just respond, “ we’re so sorry for your experience and we hope you give us another try.”? For some, the ego is too strong and defense is their only outlet.
But quickly, I will confirm the other concerns. The food was not good. (What $20 burger doesn’t come with fries?) Ok, chips. Fine. But bottom of the bag crumbles?😂 omg.
Again, I could’ve given the benefit of the doubt but after reading the responses from the business, that’s just terrible management. As one other reviewer put it, there’s enough Erie locals and too few bars around there to keep it open.

Good beer, better food, and great service!!!!

Friendly and responsive staff, and got our food really quick. The truffle mushroom burger (special for the day) was really tasty.

Great Spot all-around fantastic food!

Update: given your response I’m changing my rating. Being “open” until 8:00 when you do last call at 7:30 does not make sense. If you walk in at 7:35, from that customers perspective you are already closed. So why stick around or try again. Maybe next time you’ll do last call an hour before closing time.

Really should change your posted hours to say closr at 7:30 and not 8:00 on Sundays if you do last call for food and drinks at 7:30.
