Very tacky for hostess to seat our party of two with an admonishment of a time limit for dining. Fine dining?!?! Our waiter was fabulous: very knowledgeable, very attentive. Food was great, as usual.
My wife and I came in for our Anniversary. Everyone was kind and cheerful. They sat us in a quiet room. Our meal was fantastic and they even gave us a complimentary dessert.
Ok, so I was here years ago and the food was very good. The food was terrible last night. Way over salted. Only one of us finished his entree out of 4 of us. I couldn't even finish my hamburger. The service was very mixed. Some very attentive people. Our server told one of the diners that he was being rude, which he wasn't. That made for a very unpleasant rest of the meal. Then the server proceeded to be overly “nice” to the point of being a bit creepy. My meal came with cheese when I asked for none. Food took about 45 minutes to arrive. One diner couldn't even eat her soup it was so rich. We will not be returning.
I ordered the 6 oz tenderloin at $36 for just the meat, no sides. At that price I expected something special. Very disappointed! I asked for medium rare, which is pink with juice in the middle. I was served basically raw. Totally uncooked except for the very outer layer. I asked to have it cooked some more and they gave me another one exactly the same...raw inside. The steak couldn't have been more than 4 oz, and very tough. I felt like I had been ripped. They do not know how to cook steak,at all. Sad.
Had a great time for our anniversary, staff was attentive and our waiter Evan was knowledgeable about the menu and made good recommendations. I had the short rib, which besides having an interesting combo with the tomatoes was very delicious, my wife had the sesame chicken. The portions were spot on. Would have liked a few other unique cocktail options on the menu but the swashbuckler I had was ok but a little sweet. We also had the wontons which were great. Overall 4/5 and would go again.
Manager Kyle and server Labelle were fantastic! Great authentic, cohesive recovery working together as team around large party camping. We greatly appreciated all!
Fantastic experience from start to finish. From the first moment of walking in we were welcomed, attended to, and seated. Caitlin or waitress was very understanding and attentive giving us extra time to enjoy the night out. Drinks were excellent, appetizers were appetizing, steaks were the icing on the cake. Very nice restaurant, exceeded my expectations and makes for a perfect date night dinner.
Excellent restaurant! Our waiter, Chow, was exceptional! The variety of well-prepared entrees made it hard to decide what to order, but we were pleased with the sirloin and lamb shank. We would highly recommend Hickory & Ash for a great dinner out!
Average to below average food overall. The ribeyes my brother and I ordered were severely overcooked. We ordered med rare plus, which was recommended by the server and both steaks were well done. She asked if we wanted to send them back but we were starving so we didn't send them back. nonetheless, not great overall. Ambiance is strange. Huge window looking at a parking lot. The manager was very casually dressed and gave the impression there was a laid back approach to their style of restaurant which also wasn't what we were expecting. Especially for steak house prices. I won't say any of this is particular to this restaurant- as I do feel like this is the food industry all together. But full transparency, I wasn't the least bit impressed and I wouldn't go back.
The steak was subpar, ribeye was chewy and under cooked. We eat steak a lot, this one wasn't great. Especially for the price. It also tasted burnt like the searing stage wasn't done right. The short ribs were great, bolognese was good. Just the ribeye wasn't right. The women's rest room reaked. The waitress was awesome though. Very attentive, knowledgeable, was just great!

Fantastic food & service! Our waiter, Tristen, made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. Will absolutely go back.
The food was excellent, even the gluten free bread was a hit. Friendly engaged staff was a bonus to the meal.
We were greeted by Avery, the most pleasant hostess, just Delightful ! We sat in the back section of the resturant, not my fave... Yet Kyle, our server was top notch. Super friendly and knows the menu. Added bonus was his knowledge of wines. The food was super good!
The Lamb Shank was great and the proportions were large. Our waiter Chow was very good. And we enjoyed the quiet ambiance.
We love this spot as a nice place to grab dinner. Excellent service from the most patience, sweet, and engaged server (I'm blanking on her name while I write this which bums me out -- Olivia maybe?). She was so kind to an older couple at the table next to us that were asking a zillion questions while she was visibly very busy. Great food -- loved the cavatelli (?) special with the mushrooms, goat cheese, and brown butter sauce and the steaks were a hit with my husband and mom. Highly recommend for not fussy, good quality meals in a nice environment. I wasn't the biggest fan of being in the back private dining area, but it was still nice.
