We ordered the eggplant parmigiana and there was only 1-2 thin layers with cheese and sauce piled on top. I tried to be positive about it but after finishing it I asked the waitress if this is the usual amount of eggplant typically in the dish. She offered to remake the dish with more layers but I declined. She took $5 off our check. I’m still wondering if that’s the way the dish is always made or if it was a bad day in the kitchen. Delicious and down home. Friendly service with really delicious food. Definitely a family owned restaurant, which is a welcome respite from so many chain restaurants that are all the same. Second visit, we will definitely be back!
We picked up pizzas for a large group activity. They were super kind, we had to wait a little bit for the pizza but we ordered a lot. So we had no problem waiting. The owner is very nice and helpful, the workers carried the pizzas to the car was very nice. Also best cannolis I have ever had, definitely freshly made.
