Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews

My family and I visited Red Robin to celebrate my husband’s recent work promotion. We rarely go out to eat as a family because we have two small children, but we wanted to enjoy a nice dinner together and treat ourselves to burgers. What should have been a happy family celebration turned into a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience due to the behavior of several staff members and the manager on duty.

I want to begin by saying our server was the only positive part of the experience. He was kind, patient, and respectful to our family throughout the meal. We made sure to thank him and tip him well because his service was genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff completely overshadowed that kindness.

We have two children — one older child who was very well behaved and our youngest, a 7-month-old baby. Like any baby, he got a little restless while we were dining. At one point he accidentally knocked over two drinks while trying to reach them. As embarrassed parents, we immediately cleaned up what we could ourselves to make sure the staff didn’t have to deal with the mess.

When our baby became more antsy, I did exactly what responsible parents do in public settings — I took him to the restroom to change and feed him, and walked him around briefly to calm him down and show him the claw machines and balloons. After that, several staff members who were not even serving our table began gathering together, pointing at our family, staring, and openly talking about us.

It was incredibly uncomfortable and humiliating to feel like we were being mocked and judged simply for having a baby with us. The behavior was obvious enough that we overheard parts of the conversation and could clearly see the pointing and staring.

What made this even more concerning is that the manager on duty appeared to be participating in or at the very least allowing this behavior. She even delivered our food with a smile, only to return to the group afterward and continue the same unprofessional conduct with her staff.

Red Robin markets itself as a family-friendly restaurant. Families with children — including babies — are part of the public that your staff is expected to serve. If staff members are uncomfortable serving families with small children, then a family restaurant is probably not the right environment for them to work in.

Taking children out to dinner can already be stressful for parents, and no family should feel publicly judged, mocked, or shamed by restaurant staff for simply being there.

Because of how disrespectful and unprofessional this experience was, I have already escalated this matter to Red Robin’s corporate office. Our server did his best and deserves recognition for treating us kindly, but the behavior of the rest of the staff and the manager completely ruined what was supposed to be a special celebration for our family.

Good ol' Red Robin. Like ALL reviews say these days, yes, it isn't the [insert business] of old, the roaring 2000's before the world fell apart and recovered again. But, ya know, their food remains tasty. Prices are... like everyone else's. Rising daily. But, man, they remain generous with those bottomless fries and side salads. Service was decent enough, though we did wait a bit for our check because we wanted to be old school... ended up using the silly pad instead. That was us, not them. Poor lad had several tables and I'd wager they're running bare minimum staff because that's the age we're living in.

4 stars... because I'm feeling jaded. Not because of them, but the world. I'll return when I'm craving a burger.

How far Red Robin has fallen ! They have completely cheaped out and its so terrible compared to 8 years ago. WHAT DID YOU DO TO THE FRECKLED LEMONADE?? it's so sad, I used to love Red Robin. Good bye forever

Excellent service and very family friendly. Came at a busy time and my toddler was HANGRY. Audra rushed out some food for her. Another employee gave her a balloon. I was able to relax and eat.

It's gone down hill. Not a hint of pink in my medium burger the last 3 times. When I have the extra $$ its cherry cricket all the way or acreage

This is the best RR!! The food was amazing and our server was so great. The big yum burger is affordable and delicious. Best milkshake I’ve had and the onion rings were perfect and crispy. Don’t skip out on the campfire sauce!!!

Everytime we go here we are blown away by the service with Dalton.
We prefer this location to the one closer to us because of that.

Really enjoyed the Red Robin at Flatirons Mall in Broomfield. Especially appreciated our server Davan. Great service even though it was busy. Manager checked on us as well. Will definitely return.

Had a great deal for soda fries and a double burger for 10 bucks. Wasn't expecting that, but love it. Food was seasoned perfectly and absolutely delicious. Fresh and hot. Staff was super friendly. It was super cold inside the restaurant which was rough, but my fault for not bringing a jacket. Highly recommend this Red Robin location

The staff and the waitress I get them five stars hamburgers with very good as well as the wings
