I’ve been coming here for years; by far the best Italian food in Denver. But, they’ve recently made a major change to the presentation of their dishes and they’ve increased their homemade pasta options immensely. It’s beautiful!!I can’t speak higher of this place…top-notch food with the friendliest service. Every time I leave, I can’t wait to come back.Ashlee is our favorite waitress. She is ALWAYS so happy and friendly. She’s never in a hurry, she offers the best advice and recommendations…she’s a giant part of this restaurant’s success - they’re very lucky to have her on their team.See you soon!

We made a reservation and told them it was my grand daughter's birthday. They told me they would make it special. When we arrived, things went well, we ordered appetizers, they came, we ate them, but the server never took our food order. So we waited. We were finally able to order food and we waited, and waited and waited some more. There were tables all around us that came in after us and they got there food and were finished by the time we got our food. I didn't time it, but it was a very long wait. Two out of the five people enjoyed their dishes. Needless to say, they didn't even acknowledge the birthday and we will never be back. Not sure where all the rave reviews come from. Must be family.

Mistakenly put this on Westminster location, but went to Broomfield location tonight. Ashley was amazing! So helpful and her customer service was above and beyond. The food was fantastic! Highly recommend the Italian sausage (they even made it with spicy marinara upon request). Highly recommend- good food, service, and ambience.

We had reservations and a seat tucked away from the front door as requested. There was a very large party that was super loud so for the first half hour of our visit the noise level was crazy. The service was really good - server attentive and fun. We started off with the Arancini and Fritto Misto both were pretty good. My husband and I had chicken, each prepared in a different way. Sauces were great but the chicken was tough and overall the meals were not served very hot. Veggies - meh. The desserts however were very yummy. Panna cotta with a strawberry sauce and walnuts was delicious, as were the profiteroles. My husband and I are avoiding carbs at the moment so we're thinking that Scalzotto's homemade pasta is probably very special. Next time will try that. Overall we had a great evening!

Scalzotto's has great, traditional Italian food, with a few surprises! Their pasta is made in-house and is delicious, just the right texture and taste. Their Italian sausage is some of the best I've ever had. The servings are way too large! We split the Caesar salad five ways and still had some left. It was wonderful, perfect dressing, perfect amount of parmesan, just too much food. Nice family ambience. Service is very friendly if a tad slow.

I’ve been here twice and both times the service was terrible. People are nice, but the kitchen is always behind and it took over 1hr to get food after it was ordered both times. The food and service at Olive Garden is sadly better than this, and way cheaper.

The restaurant was packed and they were turning away customers on a Monday night. After enjoying our dinner, we understood why. Delicious food, reasonably priced and fabulous service. We will be back.

We went on Valentines' Day, so it was busy..We had to wait a bit to get our drinks, but we were comped because we had to wait, which was very kind and generous. Ordered the Osso buco which was outstanding!! The caprese salad was delicious and had a beautiful presentation. Even the bread was delicious! Very lucky to have this little gem of a family restaurant so close! We'll definitely be back soon!!

Food was very good and the service was good given that it was Valentine's Day and they were backed up in the kitchen. Its a small restaurant and they added extra 2-tops for Valentine's Day so it was quite crowded. Will go bak again soon and try it at a less busy night.

It's a great restaurant, the food is fantastic, the service is sharp, but not on our Valentine's dinner. Very busy, which is understandable, but we waited for over an hour between appetizers and the main course delivery. Our waitress barely refreshed our water, let alone updating us on our meals. Turns out the kitchen was overwhelmed by online orders, which seemed to take priority over the seated diners. By the time we finally got our main courses, which were wonderful tasting, we were frustrated and ready to leave. It's the best Italian restaurant around, and we will come back, just on a slow night.

Our experience at Scalzotto was one to remember!First, our server, Ashley, was attentive, informative, and sweet. She shared with us some of her favorites on the menu -- we found that we had similar tastes and loved everything we sampled. We started off with some wine, a riesling from the Willamette Valley in Oregon and a Sauv Blanc from Italy. Both were highlights and complemented our meals nicely. For food, we teased our tastebuds with the Meatballs con Ricotta. The meatballs are everything you'd want in an Italian meatball -- herbaceous and succulent! For our entrée, we sampled the mushroom ravioli and the marsala chicken (with sides of sautéed broccolini and spaghetti with marinara). The mushroom rav was creamy and just the right amount of rich, brightened up nicely with a punch of parmigiano reggiano. The chicken marsala proved tender, moist, and flavorful. The sides were excellent as well. We even got to sample a cannoli - it was worth the calories.Lastly, the ambiance! My girlfriend and I absolutely loved our cozy date spot in one of Scalzotto's outdoor greenhouses. Not enough restaurants have genuinely warm, cozy, and COVID-safe outdoor dining options in the winter. Scalzotto nailed it with this one. You should go!
