Great breakfast - biscuits and gravy were great along with the French toast. Kid loved the classic cheese burger. Would recommend. Owner mentioned they are closing permanently in a few days on 8/11/2024
Hands down the ONLY and best vegan food in the springs besides their sister restaurant the burrowing owl of course. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, everything is amazing! 10/10 recommend!!!
such a cute diner! my partner and i stopped before a tough mudder for a hearty and filling breakfast. prices were fair, portions were large, and the gourmet coffee was hot and delicious!
UPDATE: Just heard that they're closing their doors on August 11th due to their location (I love it, but it's inaccessible to many)! Go while you can! I love it, so charming and cute with a small indoor diner and large outside garden style seating. A great stop after Thomas Trail in GMF! Updated from previous review on 2024-07-22
I tried the Cheese Curds, Country Fried Plate, and Breakfast Burger. Honestly the cheese curds were surprisingly great. They were a tad salty, but the cashew cheese inside was amazing. Overall it was good. They use Beyond patties (they do also have a Sun Patty) which have a distinct taste. The side salad with ranch was refreshing and the gravy and tator tots were good. I wasn't a huge fan of the Texas toast or Moon eggs. The moon eggs didn't have a ton of flavor but I enjoyed the texture quite a bit. I plan to come again and support the business. I want to try the sun patty next time. Updated from previous review on 2024-05-06
Amazing vegan food in a cute diner atmosphere!
Really friendly staff, cool diner atmosphere, a lot of outdoor seating. I believe this is the same owner as Burrowing Owl but this a very different (but equally good) menu. They serve breakfast and lunch all day which is great. Went with my wife and son (both vegan) and my non-vegan daughter and it was a hit with all four of us. The highlights were the cheese curds and cheese cake but everything was also very good.
I stopped here after biking up pikes peak - it was axactly what a tired road biker needed. Waitress was fabulous

Food was delicious! Would recommend even if you're not vegan or vegetarian. They have a nice patio and allow dogs. They even have blankets so the pups don't have to sit in the gravel.

Delicious food! An absolutely wonderful menu with so much variety for vegans! Great atmosphere and super friendly staff! We have loved every dish we have tried and enjoyed every visit! Highly recommend them!
10/10 experience for anyone who’s looking for a unique place to dine near Colorado Springs. Even if you don’t consider yourself vegan, I highly recommend trying their food. We had the breakfast burrito and it was the best damn burrito we’ve ever had. EVER. Martin was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and kind and gave the perfect experience for my boyfriend and I to enjoy lunch. All the staff is so kind and obviously has a love for what they do. Please check out and tip as much as you can!! They deserve it!!!

Adorable vegan diner located right next to pikes peak entrance. Never been to a vegan establishment before, but open to all opportunities the universe offers ☺️. Had a really nice time out on the patio. The weather was perfect. The sun was out and the waitress was very sweet, help explained the vegan side of things to us. They make many things in-house and take pride and what they do. Got the faux mozzarella bites and artichoke dip. Both were very tasty. Restrooms are adorable too. Great for a nice afternoon hang out!

When the server asks if we have ever been here before and we say that we have not, we should be told this place is 100% vegan with absolutely NO MEAT OR EGGS. That is important. How can you bring me fake eggs and a beyond burger that was beyond disgusting is wrong. Nowhere on the menu or in the restaurant does it say this place is vegan. I am expecting a normal breakfast and my stomach and wallet hurt after visiting this place.Disgusting, and the service wasn't good either. After sitting for a while, I was going to get up and go elsewhere. I should have left.

Stopped here for dinner and returned for breakfast the next morning while stopping for an overnight in Colorado Springs. Got the cheese curds, patty melt with artichoke patty w/ tots, and cheesecake. Breakfast was french toast and a breakfast sammy (with a side of their house-made hot sauce). Everything was awesome and recommended! Great coffee too! I will definitely return when passing through.
