High!!
Such a gorgeous and scenic overlook! We loved playing on the rocks and taking pictures. The donuts were a little dry, but it’s cool they can make them at such a high altitude.
The restrooms were very clean. The gift store wasn’t crazy expensive, but it was somewhat picked over (they were completely out of post cards and magnets).
We went on a Wednesday, and the summit was not too busy. Would recommend that you drive up if you’re able; the drive was just as beautiful as being on the summit.
WOW! This is one of the most underrated places to visit in all of America. The view is not just breathtaking, but the center itself has so many convenient amenities (clean bathrooms) and tasty donuts and water and needed snacks for being so high in altitude. Everyone there was so kind, and it was just so much fun. The glass windows were stunning, and perfect for the experience. Could not recommend this enough! Right around the summit house were these perfect trails that gave you the full view of Pikes Peak that everyone needs to see.
Great time at the summit. We took the railway and I will say. Very cold and harder to breathe but not terrible. But still worth it with breathtaking views anywhere you look.
Must do on anyone's bucket list!
no food for people who are allergic to dairy, eggs or are vegan.
Obviously incredible scenery but good god had no idea how much of a treck this was. If you don’t do well with heights do not go. The trip turned into an anxiety induced fear once your about 3000 ft from the top. Guard rails become scarce once you get higher and higher , so again if altitude or fear of heights is a potential factor … I just would not recommend going. Way down is much better and way more scenic.
Incredibly beautiful! My sister, my bro, and I drove to the summit and the experience was amazing! Given a chance to drive up here again, I’d definitely would - but probably not during winter as it was freezing up there. A memorable and unforgettable experience. I am literally running around like a small boy having a great time at 14,115 feet above sea level.
Once in a life time experience.
Absolute trash establishment. Garbage food options, nothing vegan/vegetarian of any substance. Long lines, mediocre staff, overpriced food. The day we came
The hot food options were donuts, burgers, or a chicken sandwich. We had just hiked all the way up so my partner had a burger- took 3 bites and tossed it. Eat before you come or bring your own food. 0/10. Also- no booze- what a missed opportunity!

I can see why they now charge $16 per adult to drive up to the summit...
Worth the trip, whether you drive yourself or take the Cog Railway. You'll have more time if you drive up (the Cog gives you about 45 minutes to take in the view).
CINNAMON DONUTS!!! But really, it's a nice place with incredible views.
Natural and so beautiful
I honestly haven’t eaten food this cheap and bad since my high school cafeteria. But I hiked up and had no other food options. The famous donuts were dry and flavorless. It was a sad surprise.
