I used to drive 35-40 minutes to get to this restaurant. Now I live much closer. It's awesome. The staff is always lovely. And their carnitas are the best I've ever had, easily. Don't tell my daughter because she makes really yummy carnitas; but Senior Sol has got her beat. YuM. Decades ago my best friend and I were always looking for a good Mexican restaurant. When we found Villa del Sol in Lakewood we were so happy. And I brought many friends and family to that restaurant and they loved it too. Eventually it closed, but by then I knew that anything that said del Sol was (probably) owned by one of the brothers. When I tasted the green chili I would know for sure whether or not it was the same family. But shout out to Willy. I always knew if Willy had been at the green chili because he was the best. I miss him.

The food was amazing. The people were the best. Even with a big group, everything came out correctly and hot and at the same time. We really enjoyed our time at the restaurant and will be back.

Food was almost inedible, and I have had chicharrones before. Staff kept checking on us every 60 seconds after we paid almost as if they were trying to kick us out. $18.50 for a house margarita FYI. Do yourself a favor and go to La Fogata or Los Dos Portillos, same price and far better food quality and service. Will not be returning.

Enjoyed a very nice dinner with family. Atmosphere was nice, staff was welcoming and helpful! Checked back often to see how everything was and if we needed anything. Overall a great experience! I would definitely recommend this place!

I have gluten, lactose, and other food interolerances and eat here safely. Quality ingredients and prep. The authentic tacos are amazing. I drive past multiple Mexican restaurants to get to El Senor Sols.

Great service! Really delicious green chili. The steak burrito was good. $4+ for a fountain drink and a bit excessive but other than good spot.

Food was great. Camino real enchiladas tasty, chicharron in burrito fresh, fried crispy and diced just the right size: big enough for crunch and sabor but not so big each bite fills your mouth with manteca. Fast and efficient. Only 3 stars for atmosphere but they did just recover from some drunk that drove into the kitchen, so there’s time. Coffee brewed with cinnamon a bit much but gives it character. Clean restrooms. Patrons enjoying their margaritas before noon. Swallows feeding their chicks just outside the windows. What more can you ask for?

This place has the best Mexican food near Highlands Ranch, worth the drive and the difficult way to get into the parking lot for the food. Everything is made fresh, great flavor and perfect amount of spice!
The mole sauce was very good. It came with 3 pieces of chicken, which based on sizes and shapes were all dark meat but I like dark meat, and this was fall of the bone tender and juicy. I was disappointed in the guacamole salad. Their menu describes it as having their own spices, and at the price of nearly $15, I was looking forward to it. But it was a single scoop of plain guacamole with some diced tomatoes on a larger bed of iceberg lettuce. The shell, like some restaurants use for a taco salad, was good, which I used instead of the stale chips they served for free with salsa. In my opinion was vastly overpriced for what I got. I will take my family back there to try it themselves but skip the guacamole salad next time.
