Came in here for our anniversary, the service was great, we had a little hiccup with our food coming out in a timely manor, we had been sitting for over an hour and only received our appetizer. They quickly made up for it and had our food out within minutes and took amazing care of us after the fact! Everyone is super friendly and attentive, the food is amazing and so fresh. I would highly recommend.

Not bad... Got the chicken and pieces were super small compared to what I saw in other pictures, so might have gotten a bad batch. Not a big shoestring fries fan, but if you like then you'll be happy. Great Mac and cheese

This was our second time here last time we ate here everything was amazing. We came in a Friday afternoon and it wasn’t busy at all. We sat at the bar and there were two bartenders at first they were very attentive and then we ordered our food and the bartenders literally looked right through us. My husband couldn’t get a refill on his cocktail he tried to get the bartenders attention a couple of times. The two women bartenders kept telling the other patrons at the bar how busy they were the day before and so I guess it made them tired to attend to the four patrons at the bar currently.

Classic bad ingredients cooked excellently. The steak was tough, slightly better then diner quality. It was also missing salt but that might just be a choice because they have salt on the table.
The shrimp scampi's butter was slightly burnt and the pasta definitely had the consistency of packaged Cisco noodles.
The carrot cake was definitely the star. Wouldn't go back, incredibly overpriced for what was essentially diner quality food.

We love the atmosphere in this restaurant. We have been eating here for years. While the service is great, the food has become an issue. As much as I want to love it, the amount of salt used is absolutely over the top. When I remember, I ask them to refrain from using salt or extra and then it’s good. Over the years it has gotten very heavy -handed. Why not leave it to the patrons to use the salt that is on the table?
We have been going to J Alexander's in Park Meadow for a very long time. NEVER have I ever had a bad experience here. I love the dark, quiet, romantic feel of the restaurant combined with their modern design. The booths are comfy, and the service is excellent. I have never felt rushed like I do in so many restaurants these days. We usually order the filet, prime rib meals along with salads and potatoes. Have been with couples that have ordered the sushi and they loved it! I have seen many families with children also. Perfect date night, dinner night that quite frankly doesn't break the bank like so many do. We highly recommend J Alexanders.
Came for happy hour and ended up ordering food to go. A colleague in a networking group suggested J Alexanders for happy hour meeting. They do not have a happy hour but were fairly busy on a Wednesday evening in the bar area. The bartenders were nice and the Kentucky old fashioned (tried Duke Bourbon) was just perfect. I had a second cocktail in the knickerbocker and it was just too sweet with the candied cherry. I should stick with what I like. I ordered the deviled eggs and there were 8 to an order which was more than I expected. The eggs and filling were creamy and delicious with sugar cured bacon and pickle relish. As my eyes are always bigger than my stomach I also ordered the fire grilled artichokes with remoulade. They were charred perfectly with enough oil and salt to make them decadent and easy to eat. I definitely needed my napkin with them. Also big enough for 2-4 people to share. To go I ordered an Alex's salad with grilled chicken. I didn't try it but my wife really liked it with the homemade ranch dressing (on the side of course!) I tried the French dip and it was very tasty. I did ask for grilled onions as an addition. They were added but in large slices so I'll skip that next time. The au jus was fine but a little underseasoned. I did try the French Fries for my side and I give them a thumbs up. Will have to come back for a meal in the dining room. Very impressed with J Alexanders.
They have the best French dip

Good food, good atmosphere. Bar staff was horrible. Acted like they wanted to be someplace else. Not attentive at all.
Gabe at the bar is amazing. So attentive and connecting. I drive over an hour on days I know he’s working to enjoy the night due to his service. Can’t say enough good things about Gabriel.
Awesome every time we come in. The Maui Steak and carrot cake are the best in my opinion.
Good was very good, staff smiling, drinks good, can't ask for more.
Never disappoints. I've been going there for many years.
