I was in Colorado after a long day of work looking for some good food. Amber and Derrick were awesome, they had the perfect customer service and personality for my outstanding experience. I recommend this location.

My grandaughter and I just had the BEST dinner tonight due to the Hostess at the front desk, Britney, and due to our amazing server, Julious. Britney went out of her way to accommodate us and Julious was very friendly, attentive and on top of our every need. Probably the best server I have had there in a long time (been going to this restaurant over 20 years). They both made my grandaughter's first dinner here super special as we were celebrating her making honor roll this semester. Britney has been the most dependable and friendly hostess that I have ever encountered at a restaurant and must work there every day as she is there every time I am!! Just outstanding service every single time we come in. It's so nice as she recognizes me and treats me special which really means a lot and goes a long way. She is seriously a DREAM employee!! I really hope she never stops working there as there will absolutely be a void that wont be filled! Thank you J. Alexander's for a wonderful evening from beginning to end that will be in my grandaughter's and I's memory banks forever! And don't worry, we will be back soon!

How have we lived in south Denver for years and NOT known about this restaurant?? We chose it for “date night” and simply had to offer our 5 Star review. The reservation system through Google Maps worked perfectly. We had a lovely, quiet table booth along the back wall. Our server (Kayla) did an amazing job taking care of our meal service. I greatly enjoyed the baby back ribs, and they might very well be the best Denver has to offer. The carrot cake at the end blew me away, since traditionally I don’t even like carrot cake! It was delicious. We highly recommend having your next date night at J Alexander’s!

Alexis is an amazing bartender very beautiful personality and in general. Great customer service. And same with the managers Will, he’s very professional and cares for his customers. 10 out of 10 recommend coming here

We ate at your restaurant yesterday for the first time. The service was amazing! The food just okay. The potato soup had too much pepper in it. The bbq ribs were way too spicy. Not enjoyable. But your French Dip sandwich was excellent. And your carrot cake was amazing.

The food is quite good and the service is excellent. The only reason why this is not a five start review is that the price is too high for what is received. I don't min paying for good food, but this is overpriced for what it is. If it was 10, 15% less, it would be ideal.

We recently visited J Alexander’s for Dinner ,This past holiday season 2025 .
We are from NYC . So we are Accustomed to eating later than earlier. The Food that my husband ordered was brought to the table however it was not what he Ordered..
When They brought back the right order, Waitress neglected to bring utensils it took almost 10 minutes before she brought them over . Unfortunately there were other things that we were not satisfactory with the service..
The Most egregious part of this Experience was .
We were one of the last three tables in the restaurant that night that were still eating . J Alexander’s staff were what looked like to us “in A hurry to get outta there “ There was one waitress in particular who is older light light brown hair very small in stature who kept just giving us dirty ugly looks multiple times while passing our table Which made us Feel extremely uncomfortable. It wasn’t even Ten o’clock pm .
We felt extremely rushed towards the end of our meal and Definitely when trying to enjoy our Desert . For example, When our waitress brought our dessert to our table,she also bought the bill . she asked if there was anything else that we would want. She looked at her watch twice while setting the bill on our table. Almost saying hurry up so I can leave .Our expectations were not what was led on to believe . We felt rushed and uncomfortable. And embarrassed for the staff that night not all the staff just 4 of the waitress . Sad to say this was a bad experience. For what people call fine Dining in Colorado .

Dined during a weekday night. We didn’t have any reservations but was seated quickly. We ordered chicken tortilla soup and fillet mignon. Both were prepared fresh and the steak was cooked perfectly in medium. Finished off dinner with the carrot cake.

Every year my husband and I have Christmas Eve dinner here. We often order a meal to go, so we don't have to cook on Christmas. I highly recommend the carrot cake and Mac N' Cheese.

Came in here for our anniversary, the service was great, we had a little hiccup with our food coming out in a timely manor, we had been sitting for over an hour and only received our appetizer. They quickly made up for it and had our food out within minutes and took amazing care of us after the fact! Everyone is super friendly and attentive, the food is amazing and so fresh. I would highly recommend.
