Great place for an outdoor adventure. They offer UTV rides (which we did) and horseback riding (which we didn't). Our guide was amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. There is also a gift store, restrooms and a restaurant (which was closed that day we went - but we had planned for a picnic anyway, so that wasn't a problem). The 3-hour UTV experience was thrilling and such a blast. Highly recommended.
My family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children 15 and under) came out to the Steamboat Lake Outpost from Steamboat Springs for a 2-hour horseback riding adventure. The guides, Brandon & Natalie, were great! They were very personable and helpful when it came to familiarizing us with the horses. The ride was simple, but beautiful. We were hesitant about spending the money on the UTV tour. However, it turned out to be an incredible experience that was absolutely worth every penny! Driving and navigating the trails was a lot of fun, and the views were simply breathtaking. We’re already planning to return next year, and we might even extend our stay to hike up Hahns Peak.
