If I could give them no stars I would DO NOT waste your money, we ordered 2 pies and it cost us $120. The bakery at Safeway has better tasting pies then Ernie's does at a reasonable price. We gave it two tries and never again it's a total rip off.
Share the same sentiments as Dan. All neighbors agree that we've given this place numerous chances and the prices are much more than their counterparts and the food is not edible mostly. Sorry for the bad review, but maybe it will encourage some positive change.
I really really wish I could like this bakery. I reside in King's Valley and a bakery at the base of the hill would be amazing. However, after multiple attempts I have given up on them. The biggest issue I have with them is their lack of transparent pricing. For example, we had walked down for another reason and stopped in and wanted to be supportive so picked up a frozen french onion soup. It ended up being a $18 container of soup and filled a little more than 2 mugs (not bowls). Additionally, it was not really french onion, it was more of a vegetable soup that leaned heavily on what looked like cabbage. My wife and I both gave it a 2/10 and ended up throwing most of it out.We have also tried donuts on multiple occasions. Again, pricing was not transparent and although I do not recall the exact price, they were way more expensive than we felt reasonable. In one case we did not get to see them beforehand (which sounds common based on discussions with neighbors) and the "donuts" ended up not being donuts but cake donuts which is a very different process...
We have made multiple attempts to get on board with Ernies. We love supporting local business and wish so badly this local bakery was worth a visit but unfortunately, my recommendation to stay far away from Ernie's cannot be overstated. It is woefully overpriced. How does over $25 sound for 6 "donuts"?? To call them donuts is a farse. They are poorly baked bunt cakes. They also tasted like they mistook the salt for sugar.A loaf of bread we purchased for an outrageous amount was burnt on the outside and raw dough in the middle. It was entirely inedible.I am always happy to pay a little more when it's for well-made, quality goods and services especially from a local business. But I cannot justify spending even another cent here. Do not waste your time or your money.
Friendly customer service. They go above and beyond to satisfy you. Everything taste Homemade! Love there Pot Pies!
I’ve been want to try Ernie’s for awhile now, and finally did last weekend. First of all, the women working there are super friendly and they’re a mother-daughter pair! Love it!!The doughnuts were to die for. I got a raspberry filled one and a plain glazed. I’m not really a doughnut person, but these could definitely convert me. The glazed were the right combination of moist and sweet and the raspberry filling actually tasted like raspberries and wasn’t overly sweet. Both doughnuts were delightfully dense, a deviation from a standard doughnut I really enjoyed. They have a big selection of savory options that I’m interested in trying in the future.
Really awesome little local bakery. The two ladies running the place are sweet as can be. The donut was amazing. Check it out if you're in the area.
If your looking for that mom and pop hole in the wall this is it. Hands down the Best Biscuits and Gravy I have had in a very long time. Also go their Lemon Rasberry Doughnut OMG so dank. Will definitely visit again.
Food and coffee were great - and the owners are fantastic. Let us use wifi and get some work done so we could go back to enjoying the Rockies!! An absolute must try
I love Ernie’s. The women-veteran owned establishment goes out of their way to support local events and businesses. Absolutely recommend. Plus, everything we have ever had was delicious!!

I went to Ernie’s in the morning a few minutes after they had opened. I ordered a chocolate chocolate muffin. The nice lady opened the cabinet and handed me a refrigerator cold muffin. I thought they were a bakery. Not sure how they have been open for 2 years when they don’t serve fresh baked products. The food was ok but I won’t go back.
Whenever I go to eat at Ernie's there is always something new to try and really you can't go wrong with anything you order. The owners are wonderful people that ensure the ingredients used in all of their delicious dishes are of the highest quality. My absolute favorites are their banana bread muffins and key lime donuts. You just can't beat them. I have also tried their tiramisu and it was the best I have ever had. They will even take custom orders. I feel good frequenting this establishment because I know I am supporting a small business that operates with integrity and true care for its customers.
This is such a darling family run business with delicious food! If you love homemade food, you have to give them a try. These days it’s hard to find places that make everything in house, including the bread, and what a difference it makes. Not just that, but they also have the most delicious lemon-blueberry muffins, donuts, and hidden fruit chocolate chunk cookies (my absolute favorite)! I highly recommend this bakery and it’s welcoming atmosphere :)
Love the fresh breads and cinnamon rolls almost as much as I love the butter biscuits they use for their breakfast sandwiches. For something savory try a pot pie or some chili. It’s my go to because the food is fresh and the atmosphere is casual. I usually pick it up to go.
Love this place! The staff are friendly and helpful. They always have a great selection of baked goodies and meal items, PLUS many gluten free options. I'm planning on ordering lunch from them for my next company meeting!
