Great food for some Drive-In eats - we search these places out on our road trips. Green Chili burger and onion rings were on point. Loved that our server asked if I wanted a refill on my soda while waiting on our order to go. Ranch and the other dipping sauce were also super tasty.

Due to the number of 5-Star reviews, I stopped in today for lunch. It's an Old-Fashioned, Drive-In Burger Joint. The ladies come out, the your order.. and sometime later, bring you food. I saw that the Green Chile Burger, and the Onion Rings were mentioned often in the reviews.. so I ordered the 1/4lb size burger, which is $2 more than the regular. (would hate to see the size of the burger patty on the regular). Obviously 1/4lb before cooking, because the patty was almost non-existent. It was pretty much a salad burger (see photos). The Onion Rings were very good. The burger was $6.29, and small order of Onion Rings was $2.89. ++++ A better value than a garbage burger from McD's, but I was expecting more, and better.

Road trip stop for my family in June 2024. Sat at the round table right out front. It was the right food at the right price at the right time... and a cold drink. The waitress was fast, friendly and efficient, even though she was quite busy. Food was excellent and there was more than enough. Future me will happily sidetrack to Cortez for a burger!

Stopped in for lunch while passing thru Cortez. First timers. Absolutely delicious. The green chili burger was a hit. But the onion rings are the real draw. Sweet and crispy. The service was great. Lots of fun having a tray hang off the window. Just like the old days of real drive-ins. Check them out.

Came here due to the raving reviews of breakfast burritos. They did not disappoint! It was really good. I had sausage/bacon with green chili and that was perfect. I love how you can customize what you want in your burritos. My wife had the chorizo one. That was also good (I tried it) but word of caution that it is really spicy chorizo. She couldn't finish hers strictly on that but otherwise I'd totally come back here for more.
