Do not be put off by the quirky decor. The food was actually much better than expected. They were severely understaffed but everyone worked very hard to communicate about delays and get you served. The food was really decent, with great sweet potato fries as a side. Very good mixed drinks at amazing prices. Friendly staff, even when run off their feet. Kudos to them@

Passing through, my family and I stopped at this amazing restaurant. We were greeted by the friendly staff, and fun atmosphere. They offered our 3 kids mini 3d dragons! Which was a huge hit! The food was delicious and well presented. We stopped again on our way back to Arizona. My daughter made a fairy door, (the restaurant has 50 i believe) which they were excited to display in the restaurant! If you are looking for a family friendly, or stopping in for a bite, with friends, don't miss this place! Looking forward to our next Colorado trip to stop in again. Thank you for making our trip memorable!

Once upon a sandwich is an experience you won't get anywhere else. The owners and staff are friendly and creative. We went on a story book journey as soon as we entered the building.

Cute place, though quite pricy for sandwiches, but it’s a nice atmosphere with the medieval theme. Really cute and quaint. Excellent, friendly, fast service. The Rueben and Philly Cheesesteak were AWESOME. SO much flavor. Wow. The fries were great.

Do NOT recommend the coleslaw, it was really awful (we LOVE coleslaw, salads, and veggies normally). It had a weird sweetness to it—tasted maybe like it was just a variety of delicious-looking veggies covered in miracle whip with no other flavors. I was just gonna take it home for the chickens, but my husband did end up eating it.

Do not recommend the Mac and Cheese. It fell flat with very little flavor/cheese. I don’t think they made a roux for the sauce which led to dry, flavorless noodles. Which is a shame because the noodles weren’t mushy and had a great texture—often the downfall of Mac n cheese. The crumbles on top have promise. Just needed something. We dipped it in ranch and fry sauce which helped.

Overall it was a little too pricey for us ($16-$23+ for a sandwich). For 2 sandwiches, a bowl of Mac
and Cheese, and an Arnold Palmer, our total was $61 before tip.

I would recommend visiting and giving it a try, though. And it’s a unique place to take out-of-towners for lunch.

The south of the border used to be the best sandwich in town. Not sure why you'd change the recipe. Adding corn and what seems to be corn slaw??? A huge shame.

We had the most enchanting time at this fairytale themed restaurant! From the moment we walked in, it felt like stepping into a storybook. The décor was whimsical and immersive, perfect for families and anyone looking to escape into a bit of fantasy. What truly made our experience unforgettable was our waitress, Evelyn. She went above and beyond to make our children feel like they were part of the fairy tale. She took the time to show them the hidden fairy doors around the restaurant, and gifted them magic jelly beans, which they’re still talking about! Her kindness, patience, and attention to detail added so much to the experience — she truly has a gift for working with families.

I love eating here! The atmosphere, prices, service and food are exceptional. The new BLT is my favorite sandwich. They have regular specials and the restaurant always smells like it’s been scrubbed clean. I love bringing my Grandkids here for the dragon that comes with the kids meal and the fairy door scavenger hunt! Lots of vegetarian options, gluten free bread, gluten free hamburger buns and gluten free soup options.

Was fun the first time but today, jun 20th, get seated by the bartender and totally forgotten. She looked at us a couple of times and people around us were helped but not us. 15 mins of no drinks and watching others who sat before us getting drinks and orders taken. Not gonna try again

Once Upon A Sandwich is a great place for a sandwich. I had a plain burger with pepper jack cheese, and fantasy fries. Owner Cameron was working on site. The place is themed medieval
Good atmosphere. Complete remodel of the whole restaurant.
