First time trying this little spot in the city of Cortez, Co. And I'm glad I did the staff were very friendly and made me feel welcomed. I had French toast,bacon, sausage, eggs and hashbrowns with a perfect glass of tea. Prefect spot to enjoy a nice Saturday meal.
I first ate at this restaurant back in the 80s, and I still stop by whenever I can. It always takes me back to those days when life moved slower and sharing a good meal was the norm. The breakfasts here are still hearty and delicious. Back then, we’d come in before heading in the mountains to cut trees. I’m grateful it’s still here, holding onto that same timeless charm.
The food was good. My only complaint was the corned beef hash was dry. I asked for a cup of the green chili and it woke up the dish. The staff was very attentive and it has a cozy interior. Exterior dining is for weekdays only.
