Pleasantly delighted at dinner here. Fish quality is good, albeit the variety is not as wide as I'm used to on the west coast. The execution on everything was great though!
The tempura was nice and light. The rolls were a great size and didn't feel skimpy. The flavors for the rolls were good.
I would recommend if you want Japanese food I'm the area.

Absolutely incredible, highly recommend. We were passing through and food options were limited on New years day. So grateful this place was open, its a culinary delight. The fish was fresh and the dishes were incredibly flavorful. I wish we lived closer because we would definetly be regulars!

I’ve ate here before with okay food but bad service. I live about 40 minutes out of town, when I was about half way to the restaurant they called me 15 minutes in advance telling me “we all thought it would be nice to close early, so we canceled your reservation.” With family in town we were all excited to get sushi, but we were soon lead to a flat wall with nothing to do in town. We went in to try and figure things out, just to find they were still serving people and their sign still said open. Then proceeded to tell us our only option was get take out or have the whole party come over at that moment. Horrible service.

We stopped in for lunch just after they opened for the day at 11am. We have been wanting to try this place and so glad we did! Ambiance, service and food were all fantastic, we had a sashimi salad and a seasonal “Oktoberfest” sushi roll, everything was fresh and delicious, we also enjoyed some good quality cold sake and Sapporo beer with our meal. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back anytime we are in Cortez!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had a deep fried roll that was amazingly good. The spicy edamame starter had just enough spice and it was a good serving. I also had a lavender martini that was also excellent. Service was a bit slow, however, and we were there on a Wednesday night.

Great service! Great food! Stopped through Cortez on a tour of the CO National Parks and had an amazing dinner. Jermaine was tending bar and was awesome. Thanks for a great night!
