This place was amazing... honestly when I sat down and ordered steak fingers and french fries, I wasn't expecting much. I was thinking like Dairy Queen steak fingers... WRONG... wow! This country fried steak was pan fried, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It lasted like it came out of my home kitchen! The only problem that I had was that they didn't have gravy on the menu... but then the chef prepared a classic country cream gravy for me as a kind gesture. It was perfectly prepared ?.
Chef... you should put that gravy on the menu!

Food Network worthy meal. Excellent cocktails followed by excellent salads followed by very yummy entrees. All for reasonable prices. Could not ask for more. Lamb meatballs and risotto by the way. Cortez you have a gem here.

What a nice small Restaurant! We showed up at around 7 pm and it was buzzing but they were able to seat us. I had a grass fed beef burger with goat cheese. It was superb, and filling, my wife had a dinner garden salad with chicken, and felt the same. Our server was friendly and made some great recommendations. We’d likely return.

Staying in Cortez for one night and found this perfect restaurant! The freshest, healthy unique menu with a reasonable number and variety of selections, farm to table. The breads were amazing. The hostess and our waitress were genuinely friendly and helpful! I wish I could transport this gem of a restaurant back to Ohio so we could enjoy so many more items from salads to comfort food!
I went there with my boyfriend during lunch thinking it would be a nice place to kill some time while we waited for our car to be fixed. Where to begin. The service was terrible. We were greeted by one waitress at first. Then a second waitress came. They kept flip flopping between us and weren’t communicating with one another at all so we kept getting harassed with the same questions over and over. They kept rushing us and making us feel uncomfortable for being there. When we finally got our bill they charged us 15 for the veggie burger when it says 14$ on the menu. When my bf asked her about this she said “all prices are subjective to change due to inflation.” But it says that no where on their menu. She did take a $1 off after being rude about it. She then proceeded to count our money rudely in front of us and was being dramatic that we wanted to do half cash and half card. Also online their menu states (lunch hour) that the burger was $10.50. Then when you get there it says 14$, and then we were actually charged 15$. Also dont order a split plate because they’ll charge you an extra $3 for that too. The money doesn’t matter, its when the service is so bad it makes you want to rush out of there because you feel uncomfortable that is the problem. The soup was bland, had no flavor. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it bearable. Honestly the only good thing about the place is the atmosphere. The owners decorated the place really nicely but they should probably get some kinder staff. Will not be going back here.
