Homey little place in downtown Cortez with great service. Both the husband and wife are involved in directing traffic and getting orders out. They use a team concept to get dishes to patrons as fast as they can. \n\nI had a good-sized chef's salad while my wife & I sat at their little bar. My wife had the chicken pot pie which was large enough that I had to help her finish it. Portions are generous with the menu hewing to comfort food. Very cute. Very homey. Very good...
We had a good meal. Portion sizes were ample on most items. Service was pretty good. We got there late in the evening so some items weren’t available. Chicken fried steak was probably the best item we chose.
I had the Chicken Salad and my husband had the Chicken Club pita with fresh cut fries. We also ordered margaritas off the specials board. We both ended up with the Pineapple jalapeno margarita. They were good and not too spicy. I wanted the Blackberry margarita that was featured, but they were out of the tequila for that drink. The food was very good and the portions were perfect.
