For a Cripple Creek Restaurant, this was very good. The service was good, and left me feeling comfortable with leaving a higher than normal percentage tip. The food was very good. I only rated it 4 stars instead of 5 because almost everything in Cripple Creek is old, beat down, and sad, earning no higher that 3 stars, even when it shines. The Creek does very well amongst it's contemporaries.

We found this spot on Google and there menu was interesting. We loved it there, small space that's is really historical feeling. The food was killer! Red elk Chilly, followed by the wild game plate. So much food my wife and I split it. Being from Chicago we get really good food and this stop impressed us. Also it was full of locals and it was fun listening to them talk about what's going on in the community. We will be back!!

Nice place, horrible service! It was just the two of us and a guy already eating in the restaurant. It took over an hour for breakfast. We only got one cup of coffee, no refills because she was sitting outside. Some other guy ended up bringing our food out after a full hour. It was cold, and the potatoes had the reheated in the microwave taste to them. My now cold burrito was extremely salty. My wife never got jelly for her toast. I never got a much needed glass of water that I asked for at the beginning. The owners sat in the corner on their computers without a care in the world. No desire to go back.

Went here for breakfast on Sunday morning! It was SO good! Highly recommend! Great service, cool older bar with original decor. I would highly recommend the South of the Border breakfast!

When first walking in, you get sent back to the 1800's with an old fashoined tavern feel. From sitting down to leaving, the service from Ingrid was fantastic!. The food was all fresh, I had the French Dip with Fried Okra. Probably the best Fench Dip i have had in CO! They also serve great sized sloppers with homemade elk chilli or green chilli. The elk chilli is to die for! Overall, a really good experience!

I really wanted to write a great review for this place, but overall it was a little disappointing. Feels a little run down inside. Server, despite being very friendly, wreaked of cigarettes. We ordered the Hunters Plate and the meat portions were small, but the sides were plateful. Overall an average experience.
No idea how the food is. We were a party of 2 with no one in line in front of us. Waited 20 minutes and someone finally said they would be with us shortly then disappeared. We left after a few more minutes and went elsewhere. Disappointing for the first time in this town
Great place to eat. Food was really good and even on the busiest of days (Cripple Creek Donkey Days) we were able to get in and out while having a nice meal with family.
